They are a public school that does not take part in school of choice, so they only bring in kids from Trenton ---- Not only that, by choice they played up to Class A/Division 1 hockey for years and not only competed with the bigger schools --- they won state championships -- and were among the top high school hockey programs in Michigan --- if not THE best.

While they still do things the right way --- and are still among the top programs/teams in Michigan --- I think dropping down to Division 2 a few years back is very weak. Trenton, while not by enrollment, is always a top 10 team in Michigan, regardless of class.

While much of the praise surrounding last year's state championship-winning Trenton team circled around Mr. Hockey winner Josh Miller, Cam Wojtala quietly had himself a strong season, scoring 32 goals along with 48 assists. This forum is just getting started but here is what I really need from anyone reading this.

We need someone to run/monitor items about downstate HS Hockey. (I am taking care of the UP)

We need contributors for (I know this is a stretch) every League/School that has a hockey team in the MHSAA. It would be nice to have recaps of every game that is played in the season.

Also we need someone that is willing to compile rankings and such and news stories about Michigan HS Hockey from papers and websites.

Also I would like people to just shoot me randomw ideas that could make this forum better and eventually branch off from the michigan HS football page.

And finally I would like some MHSAA Ice Hockey officials, besides myself to help me out with a section I want to start here on the forum.
