			<title><![CDATA[ 2010 private vs. public school debate ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Let's try to keep it civil on here.&nbsp; BiasedGuy and Pavlov can produce their numbers while I can produce mine.<br><br>About multiple state championship teams since 1975 - there are 39 such schools.&nbsp; 10 are private schools&nbsp;while 29 are public schools.&nbsp; If this would be equally divided on a percenage basis, then there would be 159 football playing&nbsp;private schools (10/39 * 618 schools in 2009 playing 11 man football).&nbsp; In actuality there are far fewer private schools&nbsp;than the 159&nbsp;private&nbsp;school school number produced.&nbsp; So we know that the privates are far more likely to win multiple football championships than their public counterparts. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Here is the link:<br><a target="_blank" href="http://www.mlive.com/sports/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2010/03/rockford_and_muskegon_football.html">http://www.mlive.com/sports/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2010/03/rockford_and_muskegon_football.html</a><br><br>I can see charging extra provided that there will be 3 or more&nbsp;games at the venue, but in this case it isn't happening.&nbsp; Plus $5 for parking sucks.&nbsp; So how can Rockford violate the OK Dokey rule of $3 and $5 for tickets without getting permission from the league?&nbsp; It would seem like the league would have to be notified plus the other school playing in the event.<br><br>This brings up an interesting point for me this year as a Clarkston boys&nbsp;basketball venue wanted to charge $10 for one freaking high school&nbsp;game.&nbsp; I decided not to go based on that plus as well as the game time was noon. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Traditionally, the Football Committee meets in January (no?). It's now March and there are still no minutes from the Football Committee on the website. Did the Football Committee not meet this year? Seems like, with 8-man coming into effect next year, they'd have plenty to talk about.<div><br></div><div>On a not-totally-unrelated note, traditionally the Soccer Committee meets in February and there are no minutes from their meeting, either.</div><div><br></div><div>Just wondering if anybody knew the situation.</div> ]]></description>

Ann Arbor Pioneer<br>2. Chelsea<br>3. Saline<br>4. Adrian<br><strong>5. Monroe<br></strong>6. Ypsilanti<br>7. Tecumseh<br>8. Ann Arbor Huron<br>9. Dexter<br>10. Ypsilanti Lincoln<br>11. Temperance Bedford<br>12. Ann Arbor Skyline = first year for varsity football<br><br>For all those Monroe supporters who think that size matters, then why does Adrian lead the rivalry game even if Monroe has always been bigger than the Maples&nbsp;since I was a kid?<br><br>Basically Monroe plays 4 out of the&nbsp;6&nbsp;teams that they lost to last season plus picks up Dearborn Fordson, another rivalry game for them.&nbsp; I saw someone on mdead&nbsp;predicting something like 7 - 2 for them this fall.&nbsp; Good luck with that.&nbsp; Hopefully the Trojans return a ton of players to make that work out compared to other teams. ]]></description>
