Calvinboy nails the Cranbrook score!

Clarenceville seemes to be a one trick pony. Easy formula of basing your attack on one player and some simple offensive scheme = 0-3 record. The Trojan line had some fun with the Crane defense but could not sustain the momentum long enough to finsih off the game. Each team had a bad TD with Cranbrook scoring on a poor pass from their QB and Clarenceville scoring on a tipped pass while Gainer was being tackled.

North seems ready to run the table unless Harper Woods gets in the way.

A typical but exciting week in the Metro.

Calvin Boy - Good call on that score! Gainer made some outstanding plays on offense and on that INT but got tired again as usual - I think he sat out about 8 game minutes.

Cranbrook played tough on offense and beat C'Ville on a couple of long pass plays, but it also looked like C'Ville could of kept running that trap whenever they wanted.

Another rough one for the Trojans - they may only win one game this year. I don't feel bad for them though for as many games that Hudkins kept Tim Shaw in the game to set the TD record and run the score up on everyone. Just wish Hudkins was still there coaching.

Fair enough. "Doh!!!!" North played an excellent all around game and should have a very good season. They might even make some noise in the playoffs if they dont run into Country Day off the bat (that's not meant to be condescending). Good luck to them. Hopefully Northwest can regroup and take it to Cranbrook next week.

Lake Fenton 38, Clawson 14. Lake Fenton beat Croswell-Lexington, a perennial Division 4 playoff team.

Harper Woods 55, Hamtramck 6. The score here likely depends on the level of mercy shown by the Pioneers.

Lutheran North 28, Lutheran Northwest 7. I expect North to run the table in the Metro.

Gabriel Richard 26, Lutheran Westland 14. I hope I'm wrong; the Metro teams that make the playoffs could use some playoff points.

Cranbrook 28, Clarenceville 20. This is sort of like the Lions and Oakland. Clarenceville used to be great. Cranbrook doesn't have the same illustrious history but was once feared. I'll go with Mike Martz.

The Ville over The Brook...by a tiny amount.
Lake Fenton over Clawson...by a decent amount.
North over Northwest...by an large amout.
Richard over Westland...by a substantial amount.
Harper Woods over Hamtown...by an astronomical amount.

Lake Fenton 32 Clawson 24 - Clawson has looked great this year, but Lake Fenton is better
Gabriel Richard 42 Westland 6 - If Richard goes to the air, it could be a long day for westland
Clarenceville 30 Cranbrook 18 - If C'Ville doesn't win here...they have only Hamtown to look forward to
Harper Woods 56 Hamtramck 0 - Yet another easy one for Harper...
North 36 Northwest 18 - Northwest has looked good but North will put them in their place

Lake Fenton 38 Clawson 20 - Clawson defense didnt look that solid
Gabriel Richard 26 Westland 6 - This is the wrong Richard for Westland better luck next week!
Clarenceville 18 Cranbrook 14 - I think Clarenceville will out muscle the cranes in this one.
Harper Woods 53 Hamtramck 0 - Filbur's boys keep rolling with easy schedule.
Northwest 22 North 13 - Northwest should be able to contain North's WR's - it will be an uphill battle with few subs though.

~Clawson vs Lake Fenton - Lake Fenton should win by 3 scores in this one.
Lake Fenton 33 - Clawson 14

~North vs Northwest - I think I saw 3 or 4 injured players for NW against Hamtramck with everyone healthy I'd say NW starters are just as good as North's but with only 16 or 17 healthy players I have to take North.
North 21 - Northwest 15

~Westland vs AA G.Richard This should be a decent game but I have to take G. Richard in this one (Westland should beat the other Richard. though) G. Richard 28 - Westland 13

~Harper Woods vs Hamtramck Harper has scheduled another cake walk through its first 5 games now that C'ville has sputtered.
Harper 49 - Hamtramck 0

Game of the Week: Clarenceville vs Cranbrook - this game could determine who finishes 6th and 7th this year. I think C'ville will grid out a win here

Here I go. I'm 7-3 on the season and one of my picks was an "aw hell Hamtown pick" but I made my bed so I'll sleep in it.
1. Lake Fenton 31 Clawson 17-Should be a good game but Lake Fenton has been better longer.
2. Gabriel Richard 28 Westland 6- Westland seems to have trouble scoring and Richard is a solid team.
3. Clarenceville 20 Cranbrook 14- Cranbrook gets a ton of yeards through the air but turnovers will hurt them. C'ville finally puts some points on the board.
4. Harper Woods 49 Hamtramck 0- Harper's score could range anywhere from 30-130. Just depends on when they call off the dogs.
5. Northwest 24 North 21- I'm calling an upset here. Calll me a Homer all you want but at the end of the week, you'll all be saying "DOH!!!"

Lake Fenton 35, Clawson 20 ... Lake Fenton looks good this year, Clawson coming off a tough loss to North. Rough part of their shedule. Should be plenty of points scored. Lake Fenton's offense can be fun to watch. Lake Fenton's weeks 4 - 9 opponents are completely winless so far ... Interesting schedule for them.
Harper Woods 49, Hamtramck 0 ... Hamtown has 1 TD this year ... they may not get another for a couple weeks.
North 33, Northwest 12 ... North runs the table in the Metro now. They get HW late in the year when they usually struggle.
Clarenceville 20, Cranbrook 15 ... Both teams have had a rough start. Good news is someone leaves with a win. Will Cranbrook attempt more passes than Cville does rushes?
AA Gabriel Richard 28, Westland 16 ... Westland may get an extra win or two this year compared to the past, but not in this one.
