I believe that both Franklin's and Stevenson's coaching staffs are the best in the area. When Franklin doesnt have the best talent in the world, the
coaching staff still is able to get them into the playoffs. When they have a good team, they are very good, like last year. maybee didnt have the best talent,
but certaintly had a big playmaker with Fortin. Last years seniors always seemed to be better than this years graduating class, but if Fortin stays healthy the
entire year, expect them to be playing well into November. But if he does get injured like last year, expect the coaching staff to still get the job done,
because of this i choose Franklin. Plus, i want that cross town rivalry game between Stevenson and Franklin in week 8.

worked out, had a coupla beers, and voila! Repeated points.

It seems as if there is now a system in place that should lead to continued success. In the past it was either a roller coaster or just lackluster seasons.
Good luck to the Pats.

explanation of your original post.

I will give you a brief reason why Franklin is turning around the past 4 to 5 seasons, Kelbert is staying as a head coach and he keeps the Freshmen and JV
coaches close to the program meaning, he has no outsiders from other areas. (They are all running the same plays and keeping an agenda)
The other big reason, (especially in the next 4 seasons or longer) the Junior football league is doing exactly what the high school is doing. (same blocking
schemes, same plays, same philosophy)
This will work but it takes some time.
There are many high schools that will not give a time or day for the Middle schools or vise verse. That is just plain dumb!
We were at fault for that for many, many years and finally you will see a big difference.

I am very proud of the high school staff and the same goes to the Junior league.
By the way, all programs have many studs, it only matters if they are in the right positions and...

Well Coach, My original thoughts were simply to give props to the Coaching staff at FHS. It seems after many seasons of tepid, at best FB, they have turned the
corner of late, giving games to BBR among others.

From numerous seasons of mediocre (being kind here) performance, it seems that Franklin is playing some hard nosed FB of late. If I know anything about that
district it seems that Franklin is one of the more mature/developed neighborhoods. Based upon probability of student influx (static) the common variable within
the last few years is coaching. That is not to mean that talent is poor, but given their 20 or so history/records, something has changed. Given the maturity of
the neighborhoods, I assume that the recent improvement prob correlates to changes in coaching. Unless there are some studs that have suddenly appeared on the
scene, then coaching appears the answer. If that is case I assume more lackluster seasons to follow once the studs are gone.

The fact is that the KLAA South is wide open. It is the new MEGA Red for at least this season. I will start a forum about this on Mlive and see what
others think.

I really can't predict a strong winner. Here are my thoughts.

Canton is always good, but I really think everyone has figured out how to stop the "trick'em & dick'em" style of football that they play.

Churchill had a good year last year but based on how many seniors left and their JV record I do not think they will make the playoffs.

Franklin is extremely well coached. They lost some talent but their JV team was awesome last season. They should make the playoffs.

Plymouth is completely unpredictable. Based on the raw numbers they should have rough year.

Wayne is in a rebuilding year. A completely new coaching staff from top to bottom. Not that a new coach is a bad thing, the bad thing is that Inkster has
stolen their entire team,...
