At least in my freshmen and JV experience, all the CHSL schools we played did NOT rent out sites, they played at the schools.

I'm sure it's a $$$$ issue.

I did not know that about the Freshman and JV. But I do believe that CC's Varsity did not play there (which is what I orginally meant, but I wasn't clear at all). I'm sure they are VERY happy play at that nice stadium in Novi. I like seeing games there. Honestly, My old high school (Northville) needs to rework their field. It could be so much better than it is now, but the only thing that they have done to it since 1989 was to shrink the visitors stands and make them aluminum instead of wood. Trees on one side the hillside on the other, it's a great setting, but it could be a lot better.

Let me just say this...I saw a game at old CC and was amazed how bad it was...It was the worst I had ever been at until last year...Divine Child's Field at the school is absolutely horrendous!!!! They usually play at Crestwood but because the last game did not mean anything to them, they did not want to rent that field...Instead they took the risk of injuries to both their team and Inksters team to play on that deplorable field.......

Blue, I hope someone has pics of that old weight room. Broom sticks with slag iron on the ends. To think of some of the beasts that came outta there given what an archaic set up it was, and when I compare and contrast it with many of the weight rooms in the public schools....well.....it makes CC's success over the years even more amazing.

BG, When were you in the CC weight room? If it was post 1998 you were actually in a weightlifters paradise compared to what it was was.

Between my junior and senior year they put an addition on the weight room and added a lot of new equipment.

Yep, freshmen and jv got to play in "the pit"

Luckily on varsity I got to play on some decent fields.

Since the last year CC played home games at Clarenceville...

au contraire, stucoach. CC's JV and frosh teams DID in fact play there.

Blue, I hope someone has pics of that old weight room. Broom sticks with slag iron on the ends. To think of some of the beasts that came outta there given what an archaic set up it was, and when I compare and contrast it with many of the weight rooms in the public schools....well.....it makes CC's success over the years even more amazing.

The "stadium" at Detroit Catholic Central high school from from the 70s to 2004.

That's natural grass and seating for at least 20. Extra points since those are the only seats (pictured) and there are no lights.
