Another possible issue is the number of teams. If you have 8 crappy teams then your top players don't develop as well as they would if you had 4 or 6 good teams. I'd say give the coach credit for being innovative. I agree that I hope this only lasts 1 year... grade school teams should be able to teach fundamentals and be able to have fun and play real games.

As for this week, Hudsy come to town. We are looking at a very tough test for our new offense. Should be interesting. I have been drafted to work the chain gang. So, I will once again have one of the best seats in the house!

You might have read about this over on M-live as a particular players Mom isn't happy with this approach. He has six or eight 22 man teams, and they play scrimmages in the Stadium. This way, each kid gets to play 250% more then if they played other schools. They start on the 40 etc etc etc. They have officials, down markers etc. They are working hard on fundimentals.

Just let me get this straight .. so I understand..

The Seventy-Eighters(middle school?) are not playing any actual games? Just scrimmaging within?
