The old saying, "A jack of all trades, a master of none" doesn't apply to Kyle Podvin. A three-year starter for Milford High School, he has
proven to be a master of pretty much every aspect of football.

As a cornerback, Podvin often shadows the opposition's best receiver. That is unless the Mavericks are in their prevent defense. Then he moves to safety as
the last line of defense.

As a kick returner, Podvin was his conference's special teams player of the year in 2007.

I havent casted my vote yet as i dont think its fair because i havent seen alot of the wlaa kids.
I feel like you did an injustice to milford, for not placing kyle podvin up there who was an amazing slot last year and can only get better. and to lakeland,
for only putting the qb up there when the star of the playoffs last year was lee lopez who had five sacks in one game. also we saw the emergence of junior
jacob rhode who accumulated 7 touchdowns in 5 games, as a secondstring.
i will most likely vote other, but looking at this topic makes me feel very strong for the klaa because of the development of powers and talented young people.
from vushaj to cagle, from white to heiman, the stahls, and then all of the stars that will show themself this year after the graduation of a very talented
2008 class.

I voted for Austin White. It seems like a pretty easy choice, IMO.

However, I think you overlooked Kyle Podvin from Milford. He's a DB/slot receiver and will be a 3-year starter. Last year he was the KVC special teams'
player of the year. He is easily better than Blake Heiman, and I think better than the two Novi kids. I think he's a better player than Cagle, Stewart, and
Paxson as well. It may sound biased, but I think Podvin will be the MVP of the KLAA West.

Wade Stahl??

He is a very good running back and is a senior, so I'm sure he worked his butt off to finish up a strong year.
I don't think he gets enough attention because of White.

by the way, the offense line from Franklin will be strong, trust me I know!!

top players in that league.

haha fortin? pats99? no doubt you're from franklin.

austin white has it hands down. Him and anthony baskin are the two best players in the KLAA, but austin already has 2 big ten offers and will most likely be a
rivals 100 candidate in his senior year. Fortin is good but remember he played well in 2 games last year and when he played a good stevenson team he was held
to under 50 yards when franklin had a good offensive line. With only 1 returning offensive lineman, Fortin will not have as much help up front, so i dont think
he will be the best in the KLAA. On the other hand, even in stevenson's 1 loss against dakota white scored 3 tds and had over 100 all purpose yards. That
was when he was a sophomore. Look for austin white to be the best michigan running back for the class of 10 and most likely a rivals 100 player his senior
year.

I went with Fortin because of what he did last year in the playoffs, and also for the training regimine his dad has him under. He carried Franklin to the
regional finals, and nearly further. I think the only other player in the conversation is White from Stevenson, but I give the slight edge to Fortin.
