Apparently, footballlife99 has discredited what you don't see on paper or game film. 16 and 17 year old athletes play and win with not only talent, but
also with emotion, desire, heart and pride. When seniors are looking at what might be the last football game they will ever play, the unexpected can and will
happen. Look what happened with Franklin last year in the playoffs. They weren't supposed to beat Monroe or Fordson because those 2 teams were better on
paper. Franklin went on to win the district… It was not because they had more talent than those 2 other teams. David did exceptional in those games after being
injured all year. He's healthy now; do you see any similarity here? History can repeat itself. Do you think Appalachian State beat Michigan last year
because they had more talent, I don't think so. Yes I am a Pats fan, but all Dante is doing is reflecting on what might be David's last football game
after an injury prone JR and Sr year. After watching...

Dante isn't talking smack. He's just letting some emotion out, and knowing that the Franklin kids will give it their all. Nothing more.

High School football is about more than winners and losers on the scoreboard, as evidenced by his post. It's about parents, sons, brothers, teammates, hard
work, effort and life lessons. This is his kid's last go round. I wish him all the luck in the world.

Dante, it sounds like your kid is already a winner. Well done.

I'll be pulling for Franklin on this one, but Fordson is a really solid team and certainly has the upper hand here. They have a very good backfield and
really grind teams down.

Franklin's going to have to play a complete game to stay close. They need to put the last few games out of their heads and sell out if they want to extend
this past the first round. I've been really impressed with their QB in the few times that I've seem him play this year. If he makes big plays and the
rest of the team can step it up a notch....well, stuff happens.

This type of match up is one of the many reason I love H.S. football. Even if a team looks totally overmatched things can change on the field with a few
breaks and a lot of emotion.

Go get 'em Pats.

If Franklin can play the way that they played against Stevenson, or WLW, then they have a shot at beating Fordson. Having said that, if they play they way they
have the last 4 weeks, then Fordson will mop the floor with them. Coach, you have a fine young man and a very good football player for a son, I believe that he
was the only player last week that was playing with any heart. I hope they learned their lesson and come out and put it to the Tractors this week. GO PATS!

Maybe a bit harsh...but its the reality of the situation. Franklin is a decent football team, but nowhere near the level of Fordson or some of the other top
teams in the playoffs. I wish them luck because I am a WLAA/KLAA guy, but I don't think they will win.
