Coach tries to discipline players and such ... parents/player go above the coach to AD, Admin, etc. ... and the discipline gets reversed..... and takes away any power the coach had.

Coach is frustrated with the situation, feels like it's better to move on.

Did this happen? No clue. That sounds reasonable. But still in that scenario, it's kid against the coach and the kid won. The kid got some people to have his back, and got his way. Coach decided it wasn't worth it to continue as a power-less entity.

Sad nonetheless for the program if it played out that way.

Anyways, I am skeptical that any adult in this equation could allow a player to become bigger than the coach in a power struggle.

However, if it IS true, I agree with Searn. You reap what you sow.
