by George Yarberry

Over the next several months we will be taking a close look at the Class of 2010. One player that will definitely be high on the boards for college
coaches will be Detroit Catholic Central's 6-foot-2 230 lbs Niko Palazeti. Niko is a big time bruising fullback and is a force at
defensive end for the Shamrocks. Here is an interview with Niko and part...

In fact that loss against Ike, when Sgroi missed that 50 yarder by a foot or so, is the game that hooked me on CC FB. I first learned about em, as a
young'un when I they used to broadcast the championship games on radio. I want to say their first SC was 1978 and I listened to the game thinking,
"Who are these guys?" (and maybe not initially in flattering terms - lol)
Interesting on that kick .... I could have literally taken a few steps and catch the missed FG. There was no seating available so I decided I could get a good
view from the Ike sideline ...

When they lined up for the kick I decided the best view might be from the area between the goal post and the track..... it had the distance ... just a few feet
to the right (my left)...

Excellent game!

Thanks Blue. I can always use one more person looking out for me. It's a full time job for literally dozens of others.

I saw Rogowski on the mats, know the Duewekes, and met John Kava. I read about em, but I was a little slow on the uptake to actually get out and watch them.

Sgroi's brother could hit too...the football....hard...with his foot. Now HIM I did see. In fact that loss against Ike, when Sgroi missed that 50 yarder by

I feel bad that BiasedGuy came on to CC so late --- if he liked those guys he would have absolutely loved watching guys like John Spolsky, Casey Rogowski, Joe
Sgroi, Milam Brooks, Chris Dueweke, John Kava, etc. from the late 90s.
The CC team from 1995 was as pure a "smashmouth" football team as their has ever been. ---

Just like I'm upset I didn't get to see some players from the 80s and early 90s play ball.

Certainly was the most intriguing player for me to watch on CC's team this year. When he was running towards us, I found myself ducking...IN THE STANDS!!!
Kid's a load.

Reminds me of some of the other hard nosed kids I enjoyed watching over the years, Barret (sp) Tyson, Coratti, Banaczak (sp). Big hitters
