It is easy to get overlooked when you play for a team that has close to 10 Division 1 prospects. This is the case for 6-foot-1 180 lbs WR Jonathan Taylor. I had thought that you read my whole email since you did one half of it. Instead of one foot, Searn meant that there was one inch taller difference.

I'm sure no one will be surprised to know that the 2 RBs and the WR played for schools other than Inkster in 2008 ... the WR (Vorheese Zanders) played at Detroit Renaissance...

From the reading the shorter one is more of a slasher and could play some slot as well ... and the taller one can run both inside and...

Not only did Inkster put together a monster schedule, they are even participating in the F.H. Harrison scrimmage with Brother Rice. I'm looking forward to that close-up look at the Vikings.

How about some names. As a close follower of the Inkster program, could you identify these offensive linemen who are being recruited. When you referred to the SOPH., I assumed that you were talking about a SOPH. to be next year. The only one I can find was Marquise Wallace. Did he start last year as a Freshman? Or, are you talking about a current Soph. and Junior to be. I think Inkster did have some Sophs. that started last year. I couldn't find any linemen in Rivals from the Class of 2011. I'm just trying to identify some of these players for my pre-season preview.

As a close follower of Inkster, you should be aware of the transfers. How about some names. I know there are a couple players from Oak Park and two from Truman. Any others of note?

Here's the math behind my statement:
My assumption will be that all teams will play 9 games for simplication purposes.

62.550 = average last 5 - 4 team in the Class A at large teams
62.550 * 9 = 562.95 points needed to be an average last 5 - 4 team in to make the playoffs

80 + 80 + 64 + 32 = 256 points = wins over Bay City Central, East Kentwood, Highland Park, and Muskegon CC
2 + 2 + 5 + 8 = 17 victories * 8 points per victory = 136 points
8 + 8 + 8 = 24 points = losses to Centreville, St. Edward, and St. Iggy = assumption that all teams will win the rest of their games
subtotal = 416
needed for other 2 games = 562.95 - 416 = 146.95

max points in other games total = 80 + 64 + 8 = 152

So I guess that Inkster could potentially make it in as a 5 - 4 team, but they will have to beat a Class A team with at least 8 wins if the other numbers hold up.

152 + 416 = 568/9 = 63.111
This is less than what...

According to Tom Markowksi's statechamps.tv show, Inkster had two football games scheduled as of January 17th. I hope that Carter is looking for some out of state opponents to play as well since Toledo is closer than the Grand Rapids area.
