Kyle Nichol, Lowell's starting two-year starting quarterback, took over the position from his brother Keith.

It's a trend. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound senior is following his brother again, this time to Michigan State University. Kyle will be a preferred walk-on at MSU in the fall.

After spending one season as a backup to Sam Bradford at Oklahoma, Keith Nichol transferred to MSU and sat out this season due to the NCAA's transfer rules.

"I personally know the family is excited about the whole thing," Lowell coach Noel Dean said. "Both sons are going to be there together, and working hard for the same program.
