Yup Whitehall is done so no shot at D4 this year. LOL

Might end up with two teams in D5 if the Norse can mange one more win. Two teams still might not be enough in D5 this year though. Atleast from the WMC.
Heights make be able to make some noise though, we'll see....

After looking closer at Whitehalls schedule..... I'm not so sure. The Vikes first five games is a pretty tough start. It will take a pretty good Football
team to come out of those first five games with even a 2-3 record.

Might open the door for Shelby to get six win's this year? They've been close the last couple years and seem to be improving. JV team was solid last
year. Might Shelby add another area D5 playoff team to the mix? Could we see Oakridge, Shelby, and Heights all in D5 this year?

I think it will be interesting to watch Whitehall this fall. If they win both non-conference games it seems like they have a good chance to make the
 playoffs.

Well, a couple people on MLive are sayin S.L. should win the Lakes 8 this year. Seems they are basing that on the playoff performance against OV last year.

I dont think Hart, Shelby, or North Muskegon beat Whitehall this year. Mason county usually plays the Vikings tough however. I feel the Mason County game and
the Spring Lake game will dictate whether or not the Vikings make the playoff's.

I'm hearing Wing-T. But dont know for fact. Should be very interesting...

Yup. He and his aggressive Defense will be making the switch.

I think it will be interesting to watch Whitehall this fall. If they win both non-conference games it seems like they have a good chance to make the playoffs.
Unless there is a surprise team in the WMC this year the only tough games (in conference) should be Montague, Oakridge and Ravenna. I agree with what you
said about Shelby and them missing their chance last year. I don't see Mason County, North Muskegon or Hart improving enough to give Whitehall problems.
I think Whitehall could easily be a team to watch out for this fall. A new coach brings a new system and hopefully a new attitude to the program. They return
a good group of athletes that should fill the skill positions nicely. I don't know much about who they have returning or coming up to fill the O and D
lines so that's the only question mark I see. Trez, do you know what kinds of system Holden will be bringing to town? I hear his dad will be making the
move from Montague to Whitehall and he did a...

I do think 4 teams make it to the playoff's this year from the WMC. The teams in blue, plus Whitehall.

Four teams, four different divisions (4,5,6,7). Should be fun.

Of course if Whitehall should lose to Spring Lake in week 1....all bets are off. LOL I'm counting on Whitehall beating both non-conference opponents.

It looks like most people do feel that Oakridge is the favorite and that is completely understandable. Montague hasn't won the WMC since 2004, but no one
else has won it besides Oakridge since 2001 when Montague, Oakridge and Ravenna shared the title. So I pretty much agree with the way the voting is going.
Oakridge has the most votes with Montague trailing by a few. Ravenna has picked up a couple votes but they are supposed to have a good team this year so they
have some confident fans. This could be another year like 2001 where the teams in blue share the title.

Year after year, all I hear about is how Montague will come in and take the conference title from Oakridge. It's always a good league battle and matchup
between the Cats and Eagles, but until they can actually beat Oakridge, and/or win a conference title, they should not be considered the favorites for the
league in the preseason. Last year was Montague's best year since the 1992 runner-up year, and they still couldn't get the job done against Oakridge.
While I wish Montague would get over the hump and win one, they gotta do it before anyone should pick them as the favorite.

Oakridge and Montague both have some good skill kids back. All depends on which line performs better. Ravenna appears pretty loaded as well.

Whitehall? Could they stir the pot a little bit? All depends on how good the line comes together....but with a new system going in, it wont be easy. They do
have some good skill players/athletes back though.

I think an improving Shelby blew their chance last year to make noise. Can the Tigers continue to improve? I dont know much about the Norse, or Mason County...
