I could not make it to see Muskegon play MLK but was in the mood for a good football game and I saw an incredible electrifying game between 2 teams that
would not quit! Don't let the final score fool you, this game was a WAR! Niether team wanted to lose and niether team would quit.

the game started off somewhat even, with the 'Ridge going into halftime with a slight lead after scoring at the end of the half. The Eagles were up

Basically Gladstone will be in D5 as in another thread. I was chasing down two rumors yesterday while at the same time trying to check on Mick's errors.
So I apologize for the error. One of the rumors now is on the Detroit News website.

Who are the Marooners going to play in the first couple of rounds in D5 that can beat them though?

I've had the same thought and it's a valid question. Is a team like Boyne or Roscommon or Manistee gonna take out Meno in the first two rounds?
Probably not. But once they get to Regionals they might very well get clobbered this year by an Oakridge, Heights, or West Catholic.

I think Menominee will be good to go 6-3 on the season. They will be a better team by the end of the year but my expectations arent real high.

I have to admit that Kenowa may be a team to watch. They were a lot tougher last year than many gave them credit for. We'll found out more this week.

Who are the Marooners going to play in the first couple of rounds in D5 that can beat them though? Kingsford and Gladstone both appear to be D4 teams.
Marooners would very likely beat Negaunee if Negaunee turns out to be a D5 team - too close to call to say what division for sure.

Portage Northern returned almost as many players as JLC did and they are a bigger school (what are the Huskies anyway? D2?). This loss doesnt deter me from
saying JLC is still tops in D5. Heights beat a D5 playoff team, JLC lost to a D2 playoff team. Both Heights and JLC play interesting schedules so we'll see
where they end up. Oakridge....well... still top 5 in D5 in my opinion and probably a tough team to beat twice.

Menominee is young this year. Playoffs are a possibility but a playoff run will likely have to wait till next year.

It will be interesting if Heights and Oakridge get a rematch in the playoffs. Shugars is a wily veteran, so I expect the outcome could be different. It would
be fun to watch them square off again. Hard to believe that Sneed threw three picks and Heights still won. Must've been any exciting game.

Also, JLC lost to a what turned out to be a pretty good Portage Northern team. Losing the turnover battle (3 to nil) did not help their cause. JLC is still a
contender, but they have to plug some holes.

There are some other teams out there. It is very early in some divisions to say for sure which teams will be the major contenders. Menominee beat Wrightstown
by 14 so they could potentially be back to state championship form to put them in the mix. I was somewhat surprised that JLC lost since they return a ton of
players.

High praise coming from one who has seen plenty of speed over the years. How amazing would it be for Snead to coach Hts to the championship in his first year
after leading HC (a relatively new to football program) to the same thing. The guy punch his own ticket anywhere in Michigan!

Willie Snead IV could not be stopped by the Eagles and I have to mention that this game showed me the most athleticism and speed and excitement that I
