We have gotten penalties in 2 different games for having players on the white strip that is actually out of bounds. That supposedly was a " point of
emphasis " this year, at least that is what those officials told us. So to say that is never called is wrong. And they not only had too many players on
the field, they had 2 or 3 coachs well onto the field.

its kinda ironic....last year glenn was kept outta the playoffs by a last second field goal attepmt.......it was a muffed snap followed by the snapper getting
tackled at the 3 yard line to end the game vs. franklin.......anyways, old news now, congrats on the win vs. franklin (who seems to be horribly underachieving
this year)....good luck against novi

It'll be a shame if that's the play that ends up keeping Plymouth out of the playoffs, but the reality is that you have to understand the situation
you're in at the end of a game, know the rules, and play until the whistle blows. I'm sure this has been a life lesson for the 'Cats.

Agree. I was critical early... thinking the refs must have blew it if the Plymouth coach went to these extremes to prove his point. After watching the video, I
simply see a coach who is ticked off because his team didn't finish the play. I'm not sure Glenn coaches caught on, until they saw that the refs were
sitting there waiting for something to happen.

That said, I still think holder's knee was down when he picked up the ball.. but you can't tell with 100% certainty.

The funny thing was that Plymouth was complaining that the whistle was blown and the play was dead and that there was evidence in the video, yet when i watched
it i heard no whistle and the referees looked as if they were waiting for something to happen.

Supposively Plymouth sent a complaint to the MHSAA. Even if the MHSAA did review it and there was a whistle, would it have been possible to award Plymouth a
win and shock Glenn?

the holder can have his knee on the ground for the kick only. if the offensive team is going to fake in anyway, the holder must pick up his knee. if he hands
off, or passes the ball and his knee is down, the play is supposed to be blown dead right there. if the holder fumbles the ball and a kick is not possible to
happen, the play will be blown dead where his knee is down.

found this out this season after we got called for it on a fake field goal. we had run the play all season long, and never were called for it until then. also
ran it all last season and never got called for it.

to me it looks the the holder is starting to stand up when he picks the ball up. it doesnt look like his knee is on the ground. a very sad way to lose, but
who do you blame? the plymouth coaches should have known that the play wasnt dead because it didnt cross the line of scrimmage. if it would have crossed the
line, then glenn could only down the ball. it is the same way for punts...

The whole "his knee was down when he picked up the ball" thing struck me as I watched the close up replay a few times. But maybe there is some kind
of a loophole for the ball holders on kicks. Think about it: The holder lines up with one knee down. Technically, as soon as the holder with one knee down gets
the snap from center, the play should be whistled dead, right? Mmmm.......
