But for those of you who have a grip on how the mhsaa uses driving distances in their decisions, I have a question...

D-6, you have a bunch of schools in the SE corner...Mi-Center, Grass Lake, Manchester, Clinton, Addison, Hudson, Blissfield, SMCC, Ecorse, Harper Woods, Adrian
Madison...

If you are just looking at these 8 = Clinton, Addison, Hudson, Blissfield, SMCC, Ecorse, Harper Woods, Adrian Madison, then...

Because there is always round 2. The MHSAA has to take into consideration not only the first round. Teams do advance you know. Based on your 15 - 20 miles to
Ecorse Clinton would probably win out since that it closer overall compared to Blssfield then.

When you said little I thought that you meant 5 or so like in my Blissifield to Monroe example as well. 15 - 20 adds up quickly when doing this for so many
teams.

Who ever goes east between Clinton & Blissfield would be facing ECORSE, not Monroe CC, so while Blissfield is closer to monroe than clinton by 5 miles,
Clinton is 15-20 miles closer to Ecorse - the actual match-up.

So why would the distance to Monroe matter?

Thanks in advance.

If you are just looking at these 8 = Clinton, Addison, Hudson, Blissfield, SMCC, Ecorse, Harper Woods, Adrian Madison, then the questio becomes WHO goes with
Harper Woods, Ecorse, and SMCC...will it be CLinton or Blissfield (clearly it's one of those 2). The way I see it, regardless of what Clinton does in
their final game, the Blissfield/Clinton eastbound team will be matching up with Ecorse, and SMCC will play HWoods.

So I'm assuming that the state simply looks at the distance between Ecorse and Blissfield/CLinton, and the shorter drive goes there, right? Looking west,...
