Good reply. I agree with your approach. I should have done it that way. I have in the past and have been wrong. I disagreed with the pairings the MHSAA
came up with, but they are the official ones. So, now I try to predict what they will do. That's not easy. They always throw a curve at us. Finally, I
like your Div. 2 pairings better than mine. I hope you're right.

That makes sense if it's easier. I thought travel time (from the west) would be about the same, since Hillsdale is slightly more west (but farther off the
highway). JLC is slightly closer to the other "green" teams as well.

Ok Hiesman,

I looked at D6 again, and kept half of your idea, but not the half you wanted. I swapped Addison and Grass Lake, but couldn't move Blissfield out of the
"Brown" district. It just didn't look right to me.

The MHSAA doesn't (or shouldn't) take my maps seriously. They know what they're doing, and will do the right thing. If the smart thing is to send
Clinton east, I'm sure they will do so. For your sake, I hope they do it your way.

Thanks for your work on the maps. Great job. I do have a question on Division 2. I think your pairings make the most sense, but they do not follow the
announced formula that the MHSAA supposedly uses. That is, they start North and work their way west, then head to Metro Detoit. Under that scenario, you
would have to pair Midland and Bay City Western with the Western teams--probably St. John's and Lowell. That's what I did, not because I think it
works best, but because I was trying to predict the MHSAA pairings. It caused some problems trying to find two teams to go west to play the Portage teams.
Your solution works, but I wonder if that's the way the MHSAA will go. Can you comment. Thanks.
