The Catholic league needs to change the structure, problem is if you play for the CHSL Championship you could then have to play a team for the 3rd time when you meet in the playoffs. Not sure how this can be changed though.

I see this happening again.

I like the trips to Ford Field / Silverdome ( back in the day) big game for the Catholic schools and kids to say I played in the Dome or Ford Field

By the way OLSM will have a good run in the Playoffs after struggling early this year.
Good chance at revenge game with HP, depends on just how good is Melvindale? always a tough read with the Downriver teams.

Love to see a EGR vs OLSM State title game.

You are talking about 2005? That was stupid. That is a problem with Prep Bowl, and the MHSAA.

Those crafty coaches in the CHSL Central know each other like long time poker players. How the heck are you going to ask one of them to beat the other THREE times in one year? You were a junior then? Very tough way to end the season.

Upon reflection CC didn't really leave 10 pts on the field. Cappy scored on the same drive as the dropped TD pass. Still I am shocked that they didn't man up better agains OLSM's line. Second time is tougher to be sure.

Sorry 'bout that Beeg. Guess I don't understand the PM feature...is that something on this site? At any rate, I really didn't make the decision to go 'til Sat am, as I mentioned in the general discussion thread I was toying with heading north to pick up my tractor that I need down here.

At any rate it was an awesome defensive battle and a fine win by the Shamrocks. I will be pulling for them to make in a true "perfect season" Especially since that means another shot at DBC, except this time you have to bring the dancing girls.

CC had better not let scoring chances get away from them in the Playoffs, or it could be a short run. There was a dropped sure 6 pts, behind the defenders, at the 3. And there was the missed FG. That is 10 points left on the field.

I am left to wondering where that OLSM defensive play was during the previous meeting? Great game, but the trading of punts after repeated 3 and outs got a bit tiresome.

Corey Smith is a heckuva baller. I was told by others to pay attention to him. Not only did he potentially save CC's win against DLS on the muffed punt snap (two weeks ago) but he knocked the OLSM speedburner out of bounds at the 13 on the KO return following the CC TD. If Smith doesn't make that tackle it would likely have become a tied game. Wow

I sent you a PM last Sunday the 18th asking if we could meet at the Det Beer Co. On the 21st you said in the thread 'OLSM/CC II' that the MI PSU game was on at the same time. It sounded like you were going to watch the college game instead of attending Ford Field.. No where in the thread did you acknowlege my PM nor did I receive a reply to my PM or even acknowledge our discussion on the forum. As such I didn't go to DBC. It's too bad as I had plenty of time.

Wow. If you are a fan of defense, this was a game to see. Hard hitting, big tackles, defensive barnburner, Literally came down to one big offensive play. Good job CC. Nice effort Eaglets.

The question is this....Was this game a testimony to CHSL parity and strength OR did a weaker SM team expose that CC isn't as elite as some might think?

And BG...since I didn't see you I was forced to hand off the bevy of dancing girls to the exiting AAGR crowd as I left the DBC and headed for FF. And I had so bragged about your sardonic wit!
