<p>Halloween gets better with each passing year for Romeo co-coach Jason Couch. He and his wife have three children, all boys, 6-, 5- and 3-years-old.
Halloween is a happy time in the Couch household. And when dad&#39;s team pulls off one of the biggest surprises of the playoffs the smiles last a little
longer.</p>

<p>Grand Blanc entered its Division 1 district semifinal against Romeo on Friday at 9-0 and the favorite to win Region 3. Grand Blanc had the third highest
playoff average of any team in the state and an offense that averaged 35 points per game.</p>

<h3 style="font-size: 250%;" align="left">Dawgs Quiet Cats</h3>On a night that, weather-wise, only a die-hard football fan could appreciate, the Romeo Bulldogs
varsity football team (a) rewarded faithful fans who made the 100 mile round-trip trek and (b) disproved the ill-informed decision makers of Michigan HS
football pairings (aka the MHSAA) by defeating the #5 ranked Grand Blanc Bobcats, 35-21, Friday, Oct. 30 at Grand Blanc HS in a pre-district state football
playoff game.

<p>With the win, the Dawgs advance to next week&#39;s district final against Clarkston HS.</p>
