Wow, I just read Scarlett's statline. 225 yards rushing. 151 yards passing. 3 TDs.

If CC and Rockford both win today, I would be curious to know when the last time D1 had 4 undefeated teams in the Final 4. I'm not sure that has happened
since the playoffs expanded. Talk about some heavyweight matchups.

It's almost like the NCAA Final 4 a few years back with four #1 seeds.

A lot of us went into 2009 claiming that D1 will finally reclaim power in Michigan ...

I think we were more than correct.

There are some excellent teams left in the D1 playoffs ... we'll see what happens!

I think they are definitely in the discussion. I saw a well balanced team on offense. Scarlett is the best dual threat QB I have seen this year. The defense is
undersized but very tough. They did a nice job applying pressure on Morris.

Dakota, much as they have been all year was inconsistent last night. They played well in the 1st half and then came unglued in the 2nd. The O line had trouble
again with the blitz of a more athletic front 7.

Turning point in the game. Late in the 2nd qtr, tied at 14-14, DHS' Brandon Hughes had a 65 yard TD reception called back on a holding penalty. After a
muffed punt snap by DHS, CHS took over with good field positon and got a FG to go up 17-14 @ the half.

After that CHS scored 21 unanswered points in the 2nd half.

While watching that game last night I couldn't help but think I was seeing a contest between size and athleticism. Clarkston just plain out skilled the
much larger Dakota team. The Wolves O-line, giving up a good 40 pounds a man, used footwork and seal blocks, giving the quick and crafty Tyler Scarlett (great
QB name BTW) that tiny split second he needed to shred the Dak D.

I came to the game knowing nothing about Dakota, except their rep. My first impression was, Wow....Big! But I left seeing a team that I suspect easily bullies
less athletic teams than the Wolves, with their size, but really only has 3 skilled athletes on the team....a trio of Jr's sure to keep them in the hunt
next year. QB Mark Morris, a kid with an immature arm but great feet and field vision, is a surefire player to watch. RB Brandon Hughes can run like a
snowplow, yet still move laterally to find a crease most impressively for a big back. And Deandre Smith, a dual threat, their only real...

I lean no, but you're right, they're definitely right there. I think most people looked at a likely final 4 of DCC, SHS, Rockford, and "team
4" as being there by necessity. I think Clarkston is proving they deserve consideration as being capable of winning it.
