If CC and Rockford both win today, I would be curious to know when the last time D1 had 4 undefeated teams in the Final 4. I'm not sure that has happened since the playoffs expanded. Talk about some heavyweight matchups.

Dakota, much as they have been all year was inconsistent last night. They played well in the 1st half and then came unglued in the 2nd. The O line had trouble again with the blitz of a more athletic front 7.

Turning point in the game. Late in the 2nd qtr, tied at 14-14, DHS' Brandon Hughes had a 65 yard TD reception called back on a holding penalty. After a muffed punt snap by DHS, CHS took over with good field positon and got a FG to go up 17-14 @ the half.

I came to the game knowing nothing about Dakota, except their rep. My first impression was, Wow....Big! But I left seeing a team that I suspect easily bullies less athletic teams than the Wolves, with their size, but really only has 3 skilled athletes on the team....a trio of Jr's sure to keep them in the hunt next year. QB Mark Morris, a kid with an immature arm but great feet and field vision, is a surefire player to watch. RB Brandon Hughes can run like a snowplow, yet still move laterally to find a crease most impressively for a big back.
