Muskegon Catholic may not go undefeated, but look for a strong showing in the D8 playoff's.

Attention MHSAA-Please send the D8 trophy to the boys on Laketon in Muskegon and be done with it. The regular season for MCC will be as tough as it will get
for the crusaders since they will roll thru the playoffs and to Detroit this year. They are stacked this year and will bust some chops, no one else in that
division is even close.

I have a sleeper team in mind, that I'll share at a later point in the season, when the publicity starts to build.

3.Fowler????? Would love to see MCC vs. Forest Park in the finals. That would be cool. BUT, I'll admit the Finals are a loooooong ways off to be handin out trophies allready. MCC has a pretty tough regular season schedule to get through with playoff teams Hillsdale (D5), Allendale (D5), Hopkins (D6), defending Co-Champ DCD (D4), Aquinas (WI) who finished ranked 8th best team in Wisconsin last year, and they have to play tough rivals in Muskegon Heights (D5), and Mona Shores. I have a sleeper team in mind Ya got me curious! Who is it?

As long as it does not change in the first four weeks of the season to the best sleeper of the bunch...but then again how would we know that?

Great to see some new names posting here!
I'm assuming you guys follow some of the smaller schools based on this topic ... .please take note of the Small School Football Board, which focuses on D6-D8 football.

Not at all ... just letting the new guys know ... just in case they didn't know. In reality once it gets closer to fall ... I'm going to move this topic out of here onto the Small School Board anyway. FEEL FREE TO DEBATE THIS TOPIC HERE

Nope, it's just that if I tell you now, you'll all lambaste me. But about four weeks into the season, it'll have its own momentum. I'll be
honest, though, if the team I have in mind doesn't pan out, I'll still give it up. After week Four.

East Jackson is a D6 team. A bad one.

Is this "sleeper" a team from the Jackson area?
Is there even a D8 team in the Jackson area? Or are you closer to Hillsdale? |

Holy chit. 28 votes for MCC. After all this hype and talk of their brutal schedule, they darn well better MAKE the playoff's I wouldnt mind seeing an MCC Forest Park match up. See what MCC can do against one of the best, and most consistent, teams in D8. |

WoW! Why even play the season out? Lets just fedEx the trophy to MCC! I think that the team that might surprise everyone will be OttawaLake Whiteford. Eve.n
though they lost their All-State WR, PG, and double Track Champion! Could be a pleasant Monroe County surprise.
My vote was for the team that always seems to eliminate the Bobcats. (WOLL) |

Muskegon Catholic Central - they play much larger schools and are one of the largest schools in D8. Even if they make it in at 5-4, they'll still win it
all.
