If you believe the slappies, CC should have it's best group of weapons (although young) that they've had since their title runs in 2001-2003.
CC for the past 15-20 years has consistently had an offensive line in the top 5-10% of the state, but in some years has lacked the firepower at the skill positions.
If what I'm hearing is right, we could see some things from the Shamrocks in 2008, that we have never seen before --- and some of the insiders are excited about it. These slappies/insiders are also realistic in knowing that the CHSL Central Division schedule is a bear, and 2 losses would be a GREAT season.
The honest opinion from some of the people I talked to is that CC will hold it's own in the CHSL (lose a few of course) but by playoff time be ready to make a legitimate run at the D1 crown.
Am I crazy? Bring me back to reality?
If CC could get a friendly playoff road like they had in 2001 or like Livonia Stevenson had last season --- we could see them at Ford Field.
