Let me know if I got any likely divisions wrong. Senior Posts: 158 10/13/08 11:07 AM	By "toughest", do you mean the Div with the largest number of quality teams? If so, I would give the edge to D2. If, on the other hand, you mean gonna be the toughest to negotiate Ford Field....I'd give the edge to D1 with a close second going to D5 as there is more parity. I have no clue who to pick to win it all from these two Divisions right now. D3 looks (at least on paper) to be a one horse race. D4, I see 4 teams with a good shot but unfortunately 3 of them will likely be in the same district (Holland Christian, South Christian, Hamilton).

If Rockford could take down Muskegon this weekend .... would that be enough to get a few swing votes for D1? "Crank Me Up!"

In my opinion, I'd take the top 2 from D3, The top 4 from D2, and prolly the top 7 from D1 and say that games between these teams would be hard to pick. So, in that sense, I guess I'd have to give the nod to D1 as being "tougher". Now I'm really confused?!?!!!

Sophomore Posts: 50 10/13/08 12:51 PM	If you're from West Michigan, D2 looks extremely tough to make it to Ford Field, whereas if you're from East Michigan, D1 seems a far tougher road. All and all I think D2 is the toughest.

Freshmen Unranked Walkon Posts: 7 10/13/08 12:55 PM	I think the answer to the poll varies greatly depending on what side of the state you reside. I think if you are in West Michigan, D-II looks tougher, and if you are in East Michigan, you'd choose D-I. From my perspective, Muskegon's path could potentially be (based on highest rating of teams in the way): Holland, #11 Hudsonville, #3 Lowell, #21 Midland, #6 Rochester Adams. There are potentially tougher paths (Holland for example), but that certainly is daunting.

If Muskegon beats Rockford I would pick D2 follow this with an Adams victory over Lake Orion and it is a No Brainer ...D2 is the toughest hands down. Now if Musky or Adams get beat - it is a real toss up... but if both Musky and Adams get beat again a No Brainer D1 is the best. Whewwww .....so I am waiting a week to cast my vote. (Ha!)

With De La Salle and Milford i'll concede that D-2 is looking much tougher. However, I believe that no one can disagree that even though D-2 has a lot of talent they are top heavy. In my opinion Musky, Adams, Hudsy, De La Salle, and Lowell are the only team in the top 32 that deserve any recongnition.

It is not an accident that the biggest schools win more. More than half of them make the play-offs. Size does make a difference. If we had evenly spaced divisions d1 stretches down to 9 of the d2 schools. This 'helps' d2 look like the tougher division. We still have 50% of the schools in playoffs down to Flushing playoff team #50/99 SizeRank. The next 14 playoff teams come from the next 55 schools.
