We need a friendly Novi bet on this one between Tab and Mach.
CC wins - ---- Novi signs a 10 year contract to play CC in week 1 or 2 each season, starting the first year Novi does not have a commitment. Novi wins - ---- Novi fans can think of something realistic. Two Reasons: ---- 1. I would love to start a legit rivalry between CC and Novi 2. CC is ALWAYS looking to fill a schedule, and sometimes it's tough since they don't have crossovers to rely on.(or even league games anymore) |

Just to add to the numerous Novi fans I see crawling around here, I voted for Novi. This intercity battle is definitely a great match up and especially since
Novi and CC hardly ever get to see each other in sports *. (Football, 2002 Basketball 2008 just to name a few)
*You'd think after moving to Novi we'd try to play each other more often And to reiterate what I put in the other topic about CC Novi. novi wrote: Oh and yes, my biased is showing a little when I say novi will win. haha.

I have not seen CC play since the mid-season ... but at the time I felt they were getting worn down late in games due to too many players playing on both sides
of the ball.... I can't say if that has changed.
That being said ... based on the first matchup, the score of the 2nd and results of the 2008 regular season ..... DeLaSalle is simply a better team than CC this season. I think this should be a good one. CC 24, Novi 17

The Canton game is a good idea what this game will be like.
CC pounding the ball run dominated. A few spread plays to keep Novi honest on stacking the line. Novi using their skill players speed and play calling to make big plays. In the end the Novi loss of a couple players, and CC defense line will be the difference. The only other time these 2 met CC handled Novi by 28 points or so. Different year different teams, I do not believe either team is as good as those teams were. CC state Champs Novi had won 3 games in playoffs that year coming in. Hope it is a good game, and not too nasty on the trash talk like the BBall playoffs were last winter. |

If you are how I think you are have a good game this weekend, need the win to keep in the conference championship hunt.

Novi's crowd will push them to a win IMHO. They were LOUD at the Canton game but the Chiefs were simply too much. CC has more speed than Canton but Novi
has a fast defense and they handle speed better than they handle size and power like Canton.

Keep in mind that CC's student body isn't concentrated in Novi, but spread out from Milford to Redford.

Like a lot of the folks on the board, I hope this starts up a natural local rivalry between these two schools. I'd love to see this as an annual game.

If one thing's certain, it is that crowd WILL NOT be a factor. CC's crowd we be as, or probably even louder than Novi's. If Novi wants to win this
game they'll have to play the hardest they've ever played before...CC isn't a team like Pinckney..

No way on a regular season matchup. I hate playing teams twice in a season... and that's what might happen if they schedule each other during the season.

These schools are so close in location, both teams will make the playoffs in many if not most sports and will meet in the playoffs.
Let it be like the Wings and Colorado Av's used to be, biggest playoff match each year for each team, there is a match-up to make it more intense. Many of the players are neighbors let them enjoy the "playoff rivals" effect. |

Remember kids only play varsity football for two years. I'm not liking the chances that they meet every year in the playoffs and many players will never
get the chance to play the other team.

I agree.
CC has been in Novi since 2005 and this is the first time they have played Novi since the move. So I don't think we can guarantee the would play every year in the playoffs anyway. |
