I thought the crowd at Novi was very disappointing.... home stands were not even full for an "intercity" playoff game.

The St. Joseph-Wayland Union game was pretty full for both sides, but like I said in another threat trick or treating was moved to Thursday because of the
game. However, I went to the Lakeshore-Charollete game today and I was pretty disappointed also because the Lakeshore home sideline was pretty thin.

I didnt attend the Oakridge game, but I heard from a few people that they were shocked there were so few people in the stands. |

Searn, Not a deliberate rip on Novi, but their fan support was disappointing. 2100 students and a heckuva a program and they can't come close to filling
their stands, for a playoff game? Against a city rival?
And TOMMY ? Got a REAL excuse? |

There were seats available on both sides. It was a beautiful night and a big game. I assume it was Halloween that kept the crowd down. Marginal fans chose
to stay home.

Both sides Prep? I'm guessing only if you had a shoe horn on the CC side.

stevenson WB had a very small crowd... no students or little league kids anywhere... I bet that changes this week when CC rolls into livonia..... Last time
they played at stevenson it was a zoo...

Plenty of seats at the Howell-Milford re-match. Everyone to a person reasoned it was Halloween.

Halloween obviously was a factor for the smaller crowds but I also disagree strongly with the MHSAA's policy of fans admitted on a first come first serve
basis. Where's the loyalty to the people who over the years purchase season tickets to reserve their seats and when it comes to the playoffs they are
pushed out of their seats that many have held for years? Can you imagine for just a moment the Green Bay Packers telling their fans that their season tickets
are no good and its first come, first served for the playoffs?

Playoff time is MHSAA time ... it's an MHSAA event not an individual school event I suppose .. I would imagine a "season ticket" purchase pays for the regular season games alone ... But if the team earned home field .. I don't have an issue if the keep their "season ticket" policy intact. ... |

The MHSAA playoff rules for the playoff managers states: mgr.pdf wrote:
All play-off qualifications are based on current records
only. No predictions of future games are used. The required 6 wins will be modified to reflect games played, and the number 'auto' qualifiers will be
stated in first post of the thread. Then the MHSAA rules will be applied for adding or subtracting.
Questions encouraged. Will respond to 'what ifs' about particular teams. |
