Here are the big school champs since we went to the current system in 1999..... and points given up. 200 is just a nice round random # that I picked out a few years ago but ...... So far no team in D1-D3 that have given up 200+ points GOING INTO the finals has won a state title. Division 1 1999 - Walled Lake Western - 119 2000- Grand Ledge - 170 2001 - Detroit CC - 180 2002 - Detroit CC - 130 2003 - Detroit CC - 137 2004 - Rockford - 162 2005 - Rockford - 220 (199 pts. going into finals) 2006 - Macomb Dakota - 114 2007 - 148 Division 2 1999 - Saginaw - 129 2000 - Brother Rice - 161 2001 - Chippewa Valley - 114 2002 - Lowell - 192 2003 - Roch Adams - 131 2004 - Muskegon - 124 2005 - Brother Rice - 187 2006 - Muskegon - 215 (185 going into finals) 2007 - Detroit King - 124 Division 3 1999 - FH Harrison - 145 2000 - FH Harrison - 88 2001 - FH Harrison - 128 2002 - East Grand Rapids - 149 2003 - East Grand Rapids - 92 2004 - Lowell - 88 2005 - Caledonia - 132 2006 - East Grand Rapids 160 2007 - East Grand Rapids 181 "Crank Me Up!" Junior Posts: 93 11/08/08 11:21 AM	Although D4 in 1999, OLSM gave up 218 going in the finals, however they scored 540. Course BR hung 63 on them that year.

Geez, if OLSM didn't win D4 that season with all that firepower on offense .. there would be something wrong. .. OLSM probably would have had a shot at winning D3 or D2 as well.... I wouldn't be surprised if someone came up with some number of points that a team "has" to score in order to win a title as well ... I prefer to start with looking at defense. "Crank Me Up!" All-Searn Hall of Fame Posts: 6184 11/10/08 7:48 AM MHSAA Football Stats	Just curious if you looked at how many playoff teams started with your standard this year? Plus if you recall I showed at least 3 teams that had below aowwt's number last year and didn't even qualify for the playoffs.
