Who do you like for the D4 State Championship - 2008?

All-Searn H.M. Posts: 577 09/14/08 10:15 PM Forum Donor	By the way I expect to post the first set of Divisional Breakdowns for the Play-offs using the MHSAA formula. Almost went ahead until I saw that Hudsonville was not updated correctly on the listing of 618 teams. While I can correct that easily enough, I can't have confidence in the rest without checking all the teams. So I'll wait. Anyone else find any other teams that have problems? List of eight game teams per MHSAA Arenac Eastern Bark River Harris Detroit Catholic Central Detroit Old Redford Marine City Cardinal Mooney Pickford Posen Riverview Gabriel Richard Saginaw Buena Vista St Louis Waldron Ypsilanti Willow Run If anyone has any info on changes on these teams let me know.

Teams like ZWest and Kingsford have some work to do if they are to be a threat come playoff time. DCD got beat handily by a D8 team. Coopersville? GRCC? Plus got Marine City lookin good thus far. All-Searn H.M. Posts: 578 09/15/08 4:22 PM Forum Donor	On the list of dozen schools that play 8 game schedule, that is no real problem, unless it changes & I don't hear about it. I essentially give those teams an added win to see if they get to 'six' for choosing the 256 teams. Other people follow the schedules better than I do, especially as none of these teams are located in the GR area. Just give me a holler if you hear that one of these teams finds a game. Still no new update from state so if nothing changes I'll return from fb practice and run the thing with all sorts of caveats. Expect it around ten pm. Anyone find a wrong listing on the 618 team listing MHSAA POP LIST other than Hudsonville?

Sophomore Posts: 1 09/19/08 8:41 AM	Watch out for Mt. Clemens/Clinton Twp Clintondale. They run the same offense that has been so successful at Zeeland West and are very fast and physical. 149 points through 3 games and 2 of the 3 have been against class A schools (clintondale is a small b). They have the top ranked team in their district (Marine City) and if they can make it out of there, who knows what will happen.

All-Searn H.M. Posts: 849 11/18/08 2:34 AM Forum Donor	Certainly the winner will have seen just about everything by the end of Saturday. Can you have a letdown going into the State Championship game. And CC saw Country Day last year (lost to the Jonas Gray 6 td's. He led squad to 38-24 before departing for Notre Dame.) and really was the game where the offense finally caught on to the new system. Ens was 22 of 38 for 257 yards against them. Would certainly like to have another shot at them.
