My only worry: they have a let down after playing JLC. There was a lot of talk about this being the "real" championship game, and I wouldn't want Oakridge to take O-E lightly.
Agreed.

I have to also add that I really like the budding rivalry between JLC and Oakridge. I know the Titan fans have a LOT of respect for Oakridge, and from the
posts I've seen here and what I've read of Oakridge's comments in the paper before and after the game, I can tell Oakridge has the same respect for
JLC.

Ha-Ha yeah it has become a good rivalry. Interesting thing for me is that I'm originally from Jackson and now reside in Muskegon.

I've seen you post for a while trez errr AGF. I am new to adding to this forum, but I have been reading for a couple of years. I know you are a WMC
man and more importantly a high school football fan. I appreciate your input and your posts. Thanks for hyping the game. The Eagles can't afford to take
another team lightly ala Constantine '02, Iron Mountain '97!

Thanks Man, I appreciate your input as well.
Funny thing is I tried to hype the D8 game over on the UP Football site....... They weren't buying it. LOL Just learned today that OE runs the Power I offense. Pretty straight forward stuff. Plus Oak sees it with Ravenna. I'm real curious to see who's ground game gets rolling in this D5 final. |

Chris robinson needs 163 yards to break the record. Oakridge was giving up an average of about 150 rush yards a game, thru 12 games played.

I think he gets the record but O-E loses.
I'm gonna guess that is Schugars gameplan. Let Robinson get his yards, stop everyone else. Then again, if the D really shows up to play, they might as well just shut down everyone.

Never heard a gameplan to let one guy roll and shut down the rest. HA! I would make it my goal to make sure he doesn't get that record, but regardless of
the record Oakridge still rolls.

UMMMM...what about Pistons vs. Lakers in the 04 Finals??
Let Kobe get his and stop everyone else. Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

This game was a good one until the 4th quarter. Oakridge seemed to absolutely wear OE out. I have never seen a team look as tired as OE in a State Championship
game that they were leading going into that quarter. I have to wonder about their conditioning. No doubt Oakridge was conditioned as they steam rolled over OE
in that Final Quarter.
Robinson is a good back but he sure like to play up an apparent injury after almost every play. |

This game was about what I had expected. OE hung around, but Oakridge made a couple of key drives in the second half to put it away. It was very much like the
JLC game, but Oakridge didn't get all the turnovers to assist in scoring.

I thought this was one of the better Finals games. Atleast is wasnt decided until about 4 min left to go in the game.
OE was a tough team. Robinson wasnt getting much help though. |

Robinson is a beast. It is too bad that he rolled his ankle like he did. I thought that Ovid did a very fine job through the third quarter. Oakridge is just
a great team at clock management.
For those that tuned in and saw Oakridge for the first time Saturday know this...That was the most conservative I have seen them. I don't think it was Ovid's team that did that, I believe that it was state championship jitters. Either way, Oakridge won! Woohoo!!! Great job West Michigan football. And from all indications, we haven't seen anything yet. The WMC will be stacked again next year, Potts will be a Junior, Kater will be a Senior, and Ravenna was one of the youngest teams in the playoffs. This year was a "rebuilding" year for Muskegon. MCC has key players returning. Watch out Michigan, here we come again. (Was it to early to say that. What is the edicate on that?) Hahahaha |
