All in all we could have four lopsided contests today. Has that ever happened before on a single day of Championships?

Blowout Friday Finals |

Kind of strange I have never seen this many blowouts in back to back to back games. First one was expected. MCC is actually far too talented to be in Division
8. They would have beaten either Division 7 team in my opinion. Muskegon really came to play today and matched up really well in stopping the DLS passing
attack. The Big Reds are the best team in the State when they bring their A game. Montague is putting a whooping on Leslie. Not all that big of a surprise.
Wont get to watch the HC-DCD game live but I am expecting a big HC win.

MCC would've beaten both D6 teams too from what I saw today, I'm waiting to see what they would've done in the D5 game tommorrow.

I didn't say blowout, and if they played 10 times they both would win some, but MCC would win 7 of them.

Qman wrote:Totally disagree with that. Montague is far too balanced for MCC. MCC could play with Leslie. Beat Ubly and TCSF. I now realize why they destroyed DCD. |

Seems most are not giving Leslie much credit. I think they played well for three and a half quarter but they just did not get off to a good start (nerves
maybe). Down 21 points in the first 3 minutes of the game a lot of teams would have folded but they did battle back pretty well I thought.

I'm playing catchup right now ....
I was "down south" and didn't get home until after all the games were over on Friday .... I'm currently up to the HC/DCD game. DCD just went up 6-0. In terms of the small schools (D6-D8) ... I was very impressed with MCC and Montague. I'm not sure which I like better. And obviously I was impressed with Muskegon... those who have not seen DLS up to the finals don't realize how tough it was for teams to run the ball against them this season. |

GHSfootball1990 wrote:Leslie never could stop the pass. They have a decent offense but their defense was just getting torched the entire game. If Montague kept passing it might have been really ugly. Montague attempted 6 passes.... they completed 4 for 175 yards. The game was out of hand after the first quarter. Montague just ran the ball after that. Leslie is a decent team but nowhere near Montague. Just my opinion. As for the MCC-Montague thing... It is hard to get a real good feel for MCC because they played in Division 8. MCC just stacked the line with 9 and sometimes 10 guys and shut down Forest Park's running game. MCC did look like they were suceptible to the pass many times in that game. This against a team that really doesn't pass very well. Again hard to get a feel for MCC based on that. MCC has a good running game and their passing game was decent. Montague's QB was really impressive. He has a great arm and can run to. Montague is just a real good all around team that beat a good Leslie team easily. Based on this I think Montague would be favored in a game against MCC.
