St, Mary's is the Boy's Bowl in 2009.

Pav,
I agree with all except the hot apple cider. I prefer a cold drink with ice, a lime wedge and celery--say tomato juice. The tailgates in the grass parking lot almost had an Ann Arbor feel. The games were always great. The Boys Bowls at Shamrock Stadium are not the same. As for 2009, I don't think CC would have the Boys Bowl as early as Week 4. |

Help my dad and other dad's club guys get situated for the day. Wait for the concessions to open, and get a warm cider with my dad and some of his buddies. They would adjourn to a nearby station wagon for their mini-tailgate, and I'd be off playing nerf ball.

I also agree I like Wisner, just made it special though the FLY OVER the other year fly by was VERY COOL
re my post of schedule I do not mean to say that is the order the games are in just that those are the teams not sure of the order |

I was well into my adult years before they started playing the Boys Bowl at Wisner. I do remeber my first Boys Bowl and it was at Briggs Stadium against
Boystown. Now that was a real Boys Bowl. The crowd for this regular season game was bigger than the State Championship games at Ford Field.

If the CHSL is dead, then why is this topic still alive?

I don't know a whole lot about Monroe. I am not sure who they will lose to, but I hope it is not Rice. Rivalry's require a mix of both teams winning. |

I'll be the royal blue kool-aid drinking CC slappy to go with 8-1 and a playoff run to the semi finals.

CC's Record in 2009 | #78 | ||

I'll go with 7-2. I don't think they go through the Central schedule undefeated. If they get by Hudsonville (early line is a toss-up), they lose two
in league play. They could also lose to Hudsy and only lose one in league play. Either way, it's looking like 7-2. I don't think there will be a DLS
(undefeated team) in the CHSL Central next year.
I think 6-3 is more like than 8-1. That would mean a loss to Hudsonville, a loss in the regular conference season, and a loss in the Prep Bowl. Even at 6-3, they have to be one of the favorites to win the Div. 1 State Championship. |

8-1 would be really impressive, 7-2 is possible, 6-3 is acceptable, but it's the games from week 10 and on that'll prove how good this team is. This
could be a very solid team for DCC.

From talking to someone from Hudsonville, it sounds like they lose pretty much everyone ... and they might struggle to make the playoffs with such a tough
schedule.
I have not done my homework on the CHSL yet ... so it's tough to pick a record ... 7-2 was just my first reaction. What are people actually expecting of this CC team in 2009? I'm not sure. They have the skill position players returning, but what about the trenches? They got handled pretty good by teams like Stevenson and DLS in the trenches... What is there identity? Power team, finesse team? Didn't even look like CC even attempted to play power football against Stevenson. TBD I'll say 7-2 |
