I guess they might not be as good next year talent wise, but I think they'll win more games, and perhaps advance further come November. I think they under achieved last year.

Answer: Individual talent does not always translate into team success. Returning talent better in many cases than departing talent. Next year's Junior class will be stronger than graduating class of 2009. Injuries last year affected overall record. e.g. seven starters did not play last year in loss to OLSM. As time passes, the loss to Lakeland in playoffs is looking more and more like a huge upset--comparable to the 1993 loss to Seaholm at Wisner. Actually, I don't think it will take much for next year's Rice team to be better than '08. Biggest challenge will be to replace 4/5 of offensive line. Next biggest challenge: Replacing the two kickers--both two-year starters and All-Staters. Rest of the team looks pretty solid. Last Edited By: prepseer 03/14/09 10:27 AM. Edited 1 time.
