Some rules are meant to be broken, or are just bad rules. This is one of them.
Does anyone know the details of the rule. Would he retain the scholarship if he was guilty of a felony, or if the jail sentance was longer. I can see cutting the kid a break if he's charged with a crime and waiting for a trial. But, once convicted and incarcerated, goodbye scholly.
With a limited number of scholarships available and many deserving athletes looking for one, why should someone in jail for a violent crime keep his.
