Hard to vote against coach U and the Bears. He really has things turned around in Saint Joseph.

This should be a good race. St. Joe has to replace a ton of really good players, so they might be vulnerable early. Lakeshore is just tough and physical every
year, and Portage Central is very well coached and runs the veer as good as anyone in the state, but they have to replace their excellent QB of last year.
Should be very, very interesting. I'll give the nod to Lakeshore, but any of the three could pull off the championship.

Lakeshore is always a safe bet and they did oust St. Joe form the playoffs last season. I am not to sure about Portage Central they have been good the past few
years but have not been able to get over the hump since Coach Knight retired.

This year will be a big test for Coach U and the Bears. It's really going to be the first year in which the players expect to win consistantly, whereas the
last several years have had the memory of the 05 season where they went 0-9. If he can keep them concentrated, the Bears might be able to pull of the win, my
personal opinion however says Lakeshore will come out on top though because they have a veteran team returning save for a great running back and great
quaterback. That I think will hinder them come playoff time, but not a moment before. Should be a great year through and through though.

I'm agreeing with everybody here that it's between St. Joe and S-L. I'm going with S-L, based on the strength of players making their way up from
JV. The Portage teams (Central over Northern) are going to give those two a run for their money...
