I agree Dante, As i was saying....Glenn still not there but a great dark horse.....Franklin has a good thing going in Livonia. If they get a couple of question
marks taken care of the playoffs should be calling again....maybe this time you wont have to battle with fordson again in round one!

So I take it not much is expected out of the North teams?
Sounds like Lakeland is in for a rebuilding year .... how about Walled Lake Western? I know they have a pretty good QB returning ... anything else? |

Lakeland isn't rebuilding, they have a good Senior class, the Juniors aren't as talented. They should be a 6-3, 7-2 team next fall.

I feel pretty good about the Top 4 ... still looking for a #5 ...
I guess it could be Lakeland, but I've heard mixed opinions on them so it might be wait and see ... |

Western will have some good talent returning this year. Other than #2 from jv and a few sophomores already on varsity since halfway through last year, dont
expect any help from jv. #2 was a very hard runner for jv with Fortin type size (same build i mean). This kid runs very hard but the jv did not use him for his
tough running nearly enough last year, often lining him up in the slot. If varsity uses him properly, could be rally tough...................I say WLW is a
playoff team next year based on the merit of the returning strength from last year

We wouldn't mind battling Fordson.
Starting a nice rivalry between the two schools. I believe we have mutual respect and we are both not finesse teams!! Dante |

Fair enough....im always for having new rivelry's established...those games are fun to watch........but im sure you wouldnt mind a round one game that is a
bit easier to get past than having to battle parenial powerhouse fordson......but a revenge game is nice to....i guess it depends on how ya look at it

Novi will have the best defense in the KLAA next season. Defense wins championships. Searn, you gotta put Novi at #5 at the very least with that defense and
strong run game.

Although Novi may have a very good defense next year, I must argue that Glenn has 7 starters returning from last years KLAA top defense and the new guys
filling the graduation gaps will be better (with the exception of marks moving to waterford mott). I would have to say that Glenn will retain its defensive
crown in the upcoming season .........IMO anyways............

Searn wrote:I think Grand Blanc has the best set of skill players in the league. Tony Jones is the only player that I honestly think is even close to Austin White's talent level. In addition they have one OLB (Gabe Martin) with 3 D1 offers and another OLB that is said to be a D1 prospect. With their talent at skill positions it seems that the question is "how good are the linemen"? So, I'm asking if anyone knows: How are GB's linemen? |

Week 1 should reveal a great deal about Grand Blanc and Lakeland (they play one another). Based on reading through this thread they both seem to be big
question marks this season. I share bigrich77 question about the quality of the line at Grand Blanc. I think the amount of success they have with there
talented passer and receiver will be largely dependent on how much time that line will be able to give the duo. It wont matter how good the QB/WR are if the QB
is on his back the whole game.

GB's OL should be good again this year. They have 4 out of 5 kids back that either started or got a ton of playing time last year. Then add in the tansfer
from Powers Catholic who is 6'2 260 who will start at left tackle. I would bet that the OL only gave up a handfull of sacks in the last two years. Our OL
coach is by far the best OL coach around (All-American at Texas and played in the NFL) and has done a great job both years he has been on board. Keep in mind
that they throw it around 25-30 times a game and they only gave up maybe 4-6 sacks all season long. QB only needs 3-4 seconds to throw in their spread offense.
Add in Hayes at RB who ran for over 1000 yards and only touching it around 15 times a game.

oh really? Care to list Brighton's 5 out?
even so, having 5 good players doesn't make a team. Novi rarely has a Tyler Hoover type talent, yet produces good teams year in year out based on strong team chemistry. If Brighton is really the 2nd best team in the league, those 5 guys better be high end d1 caliber types. |

Brighton #2? Hard to believe when the team hasn't had a winning season since 2005.

i dont understand this and hope someone can explain it to me. how can glenn have had the best defense in the league last year when they lost what 5 or 6 games
all season?? that just doesnt add up to me at all.
i keep hearing on this site that they were the top D, but have seen nothing to back it up. i watched them get run over by some mediocre teams last year. i want to see stats, not just words. i agree that novi might crack the top 5 but you still have stevenson, canton, howell, grand blanc, and churchill up there also. i am still not sold on some of the teams listed but you really cant tell till the first week of games. oh and of those so called 5 kids being recruited for D1in brighton most of them are for other sports, not football

You are lying about watching the games then.........they allowed 120 points all season which would make them the #1 defense in the league.......they did
however have one of the worst offenses in the league which is why they were 4 and 5.....they lost to mott on an interception return for a touchdown but allowed
zero on defense and to pinkney 7 to 0. So the offense was really bad......I understand if that is what you mean but defense was number 1........check your
facts
