Outstanding effort by the Citizen-Patriot. You wonder why the Detroit papers cannot put out a comparable product. In metro Detroit, the Oakland Press is the
only paper to come close to this Jackson effort. The Detroit papers have sunk to a new low in football coverage.

Kudos to these guys at JCP. That is an awesome writeup. I've seen worse Street & Smith's! And take note all you other papers............did you see
the amount of ad spaces that sold in this thing. Doesn't bother me one bit if it makes something like this available. I hope this was a profitable venture
for the paper.

This is one reason I keep my Cit Pat subscription - I love the football and basketball preview sections they do, and I'd hate to have them go by the
wayside. 48 pages for the football preview is incredible. Great recaps and articles.
On the flip side, I'm a little surprised they posted it to the web for free. Its the one day of the year where I know people go out and pick up the paper if they do not subscribe. "The common man revels in HAVING WON. The champion finds his satisfaction in WINNING." - F.H. Yost

The Kalamazoo Gazette's FB preview is also online, which is excellent. Funny thing - the Battle Creek Enquirer (Voted Best Website by the AP in 200)
don't have really anything online. You actually have to sit and click through individual links, which are hard to find in itself, and most of their stuff
is linked through highschoolsports.net....How reliable...
Bring back my show, "The Arena", to Battle Creek, please!!! Call my boss! |
