Good prediction but the final score wasn't indicative of that crazy game. Lakeland actually dominated the first half but two long runs by WLC's QB had them up 13-12 at half. The second TD came with only 20 seconds left in the half as Lakeland failed to convert on a 4th down deep in WLC's zone. WLC took over and sprung a wild 85 yard broken play TD. Also, the first 86 yard run had players from both teams stopping because someone in the stands was blowing a whistle. They made an announcement but the damage was already done. Take away those two 80 yard plus scampers and I really don't remember WLC having many other first downs in the first half. Lakeland controlled the ball and scored two TDs but the extra points were no good.

The second half was a different story but both teams were pretty evenly matched. Bad penalties at the worst times hurt Lakeland bad. That was as bad of a refereeing crew as I have ever seen. Anyone that was at the game believe that the ref only called running in to the punter after he was absolutely clocked at a key time? Lakeland's punter was destroyed on the play and it was an easy 15 yard personal foul call. Instead they called it a 5 yard penalty that Lakeland refused. This came two plays after Lakeland was penalized for a questionable illegal chop block after a huge gain. The refs missed defensive holding on a few calls as receivers were being held. They also missed a clear defensive offsides on Lakeland's first missed extra point. WLC left early off the edge and they were in the backfield causing a very bad shank. Ironic because they didn't miss Lakeland jumping offsides with about five minutes left to go in the game on a WLC FG attempt. It was the right call and it killed the game for Lakeland. The score was 16-12 with around five minutes or so to play and it was 4^th and 6 deep in Lakeland's zone. WLC kicked the FG but Lakeland went offsides. WLC wanted to decline the penalty and take the points but it was a dead ball foul. They went for it on 4^th and 1 and converted. Then, they had a TD called back but scored on another broken play as their amazing QB ran another on in from about twenty yards out on third and very long. Game over. Lakeland threw a late INT that WLC ran back to make the score look worse than it was. If Lakeland stays onside, it's a seven point game with five minutes to play and plenty of time to move the ball even after all the bad calls were factored in. Frustrating loss for Lakeland but a good win for WLC.
