Mendon has trouble finding schools to play them for one game in an open week, and finding a conference that is willing to play them year in and year out with their past success is extremely tough. Problem for Mendon is, with the lack of competition since the SJV broke up, they won't be so battle tested when the playoffs come. This will really start to be a problem in a couple of years when the kids coming up have NEVER had that competition during the regular season. This is probably the last group of kids who really know what its like to play a tough schedule during the regular season (there were several sophomores playing on varsity the last real year of the SJV). SO, I would say yes, there will be considerable 'wooing' to get a new conference to take them.
