What would yours be, Tommy? I looked at their rankings, and they're are some things I don't agree with - specifically CC being #5. I did my own, trying
to factor in actual performance with where I actually think they should rank. I wanted to put East Kentwood at 10, but between causing calls of "West side
bias", they have 2 losses.
1) Catholic Central 2) Rockford 3) Stevenson (To me, these are the obvious top 3 teams at this point. You could easily switch the order around. Is there something about Stevenson that makes them the consensus #1 to everyone in these rankings?) 4) East Grand Rapids 5) Canton 6) Grand Haven (close games, yes, but a tough schedule and only 1 loss) 7) Dakota 8) Lowell 9) Southeastern 10) Mount Pleasant or Dewitt (tie) Once I did my top 10, I think MiPreps has Lowell too high, and CC too low, and obviously don't agree with his exclusion of Dakota. Their rankings seem the strangest to me of the 5 ... would agree with you on that.

So, am I the only one who thinks mipreps rankings are ridiculous? They are alway way different. That's why I don't really pay that much attention to them. Searn likes to build his post count by doing posts within posts. It would be greatly appreciated if you would just post your ratings and combine polls on here instead of posting a thread to a link so it is actually one hit instead of two. Where is the combine poll originating from since I can't find it in the poll area? |

Mr NCAA wrote: Combined Ranking Area ... To me it's better to keep them all in the same area as it's much easier to look back by going to a single page instead of searching up and down this forum with 50 or so pages of topics. |

That's exactly the insight I was looking for. Like I said, I've not seen CC or SHS play, and judging by results and schedule alone, they looked fairly
evenly matched.

I don't recall the Titans putting up 40 against the Cougars. The Cougars probably should have won that game but was robbed by the refs.

Madison.... | #13 | ||

Madison should be in your top 10... I kid you not.... They could be called "The Detroit Allstars"... I'm sure the coach at Madison ( Head coach
in Detroit for 19 yrs.) has the better players comming out to play for him..... hard to believe...Not after you see them play....

Titans and CC 1997.... | #14

I was at that game.... two great football teams..... CC's best that I can remember...... unfortionately won't be the same result this time..... CC is
not even comparable to that team....SHS instead of two great running backs they have one great qb....... my money's on SHS by 14....

Were you at the game??? | #15

SHS 21-7 at the half....Dakota looked terrible..... Cougars ran opening 2nd half kickoff back 98 yrs. to change momentum..... A few SHS turn overs... drop
passes.... and you have a close game..... I was sitting on SHS side about the 35 yrd line....looked like the receiver was in bounds to me in the end zone.....
but multiple reviews in the press box confirmed he ws out..... When they meet again in the playoffs I doubt it will be very close.... In my humble opinion...

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Multiple replays in the press box proved he was in.
For the record, at the 2:00:57 mark of the video, is the 4th qtr, 4th and 12 TD play that was taken away from Dakota. That was a great TD catch that Deandre earned, and some poor officiating. You can clearly see Deandre Smith scored a TD, no doubt about it. Herman Moore doesn't have any doubt either. I think the playoff rematch would be another classic game. http://mhsaa.tv/events/7075 |

BTW I'll take CC +14 vs anyone in the state. Name your price. That is an absurd bet.

CC's first team D has given up a total of 17 points all season. Good luck scoring 40+! Plus, if CC moves the ball on the ground it speeds the game up a
lot. If SHS were to beat CC, I would guess the score would be something like 14-10.

fuzzduzz wrote: For what it's worth ... Looking at this going into the playoffs .... I would say CC beating SHS in 1997 would be a much bigger upset at the time than if CC beats SHS in 2009. Back in 1997 people thought it was Rockford, SHS, Troy and then everyone else. .... this year CC is at least part of what is considered the elite D1 group (SHS, CC and Rockford this year) |
