Yup... we'll certainly miss him. Novi has had only 2 coaches since year #1 (1965).... and the first one (John Osborne) is he's still on the staff.
I think there will be 3-5 internal candidates, plus many from the outside. I consider this a prime HS position. And why not? New coach would inherit a program with a good tradition of winning, a great Football Parents Club, at top notch Athletic Boosters, an AD who works with you, a video scoreboard, Radio and streaming broadcasts of games, a professional stats crew (sorry... had to throw that in), and lots of great workers supporting the team behind the scenes.

I agree Novi is a good job ... and that Coach K. is one of the best in the area ...
Hopefully he's not done coaching at the High School level in Michigan. |

Looks to be a great job, worthy of some high quality candidates. It will be interesting to see how the interviewing/hiring process evolves, particularly for
"non-internal" candidates. Maybe statman can keep us updated as this plays out, to the extent that he is or becomes "in the know".

The Valdosta Georgia job will be opening up after the season is over since the guy got terminated after the season is over due to losing badly on national TV.
The Jenks Oklahoma position might be opening up as well since the head coach got suspended for helping a player move into the school district. |

Kaybob, I'm sure internal candidates will get some looks. I have an idea of those who will apply, but I'm really curious to see the quality of folks
from the outside who apply. That will tell me a lot about how outsiders view the program.
