It was good timing AGF. I got sick of seeing that crammed-together list of semi-final sites on mhsaa.com. So I built that map just before your post, mostly
just to see the sites for myself. You may have noticed by now, but when you click on a pin to get the info box, it snaps back to the previous location when you
make the box go away. If I get a little time to fix it, then I might let "the masses" know about it on MLive... Otherwise it's just our little
secret.
Now I'm thinking that maybe I'll put a dot on the "real" playoff maps for each game site in the semi-final round. That way, people can see both teams and the location of their game... and get driving directions to/from the game site. Don't hold me to it, but I'm leaning that way. P.S. Sorry to let you down Homer! I have one guess, but I don't want to put the cart before the horse.

Last year I drove out to Spartan Stadium (2 hrs. ) for the double header..... Rockford/ Livonia Stevenson and Musky/Davidson...... great day..... this year
there's a good chance they do it again with...Rockford/CC and Lowell/Rice... if they all make it.....
In My Humble Opinion ...

Spartan Stadium is out since MSU is playing Penn State at home next week. That means there will be no DH involving the D1 teams unless for some odd reason the
MHSAA chooses another venue with a big capacity.
I forsee the D1 game being played at Lansing Everett and the D2 game at Lansing Sexton. |

All teams have to travel, and me - not so much.

GR's Houseman Field or East Kentwood seem like neutral sites to me All teams have to travel, and me - not so much. Might get a JLC vs Muskegon Heights game at one of these locations next week. Of course both teams have to win tonite in order for that to happen |

That would be an entertaining game also. Now they just need a second feature.

The MHSAA will hold the game at Withington stadium just to make you travel. Just teasing.

where we forsee a Lumen/Musk Heights game at? Would Caledonia be a suitable location? Never been there but it's a D3 school, I expect it to hold enough
people for a D5 game.

I think they were originally slated to play in Lansing last year, but the Lansing field was grass and in bad shape, so it got moved to BCC's facility, which is very nice. Are the even or odd regional champs the home team at the semis this year?
How about at Ford Field, is it the R1 v. R2 winner as the home team or the R3 v. R4 winner? |

where we forsee a Lumen/Musk Heights game at? What about Vicksburg? Battle Creek is a 40 minute drive for JLC around 2 hrs for Heights. But like you said....they did it last year. Grand Rapids would be the opposite problem....40 minutes for Heights and almost 2 hrs for JLC. Havent done the math on Vicksburg travel. |
