Detroit Catholic Central vs. Sterling Hts. Stevenson
The Shamrocks tough running game against the Titans explosive Passing game. I think SHS is a little dinged up, and they are giving up too many points. The Defense of Detroit Catholic Central has only given up 54 points all year. I'll go old school with this pick and take the Power Run game and the strong Defense to get it done, even though they'll give up more points than their used to.

Lowell vs. Inkster
Inkster's Defense has given up 290 points this season. But only 10 in the last two playoff games. I'm impressed with Inkster's ability to get to the final's but unfortunately don't see the results being any different this time around.

East Grand Rapids vs. Orchard Lake St. Mary
Since the week one meeting between these two, OLSM has played an absolutely brutal schedule. BBR, DLS, DCC (twice). Does this help the Eaglets and make them "battle tested" or hurt them and make them worn out? East on the other hand has cruised through everyone. Including D2 Finalist Lowell. I think the EGR Defense will get the job done again.

Three Rivers vs. Marshall
Three Rivers QB Aaron Spence and the rest of the wildcats Passing Offense picked a good time to have an off game. Better last week than this week for sure. And what about Marshall? They have sure come on strong since that week five loss to Jackson Lumen Christi (35-0). Three Rivers hadn't played many Smash Mouth Power Run teams until Swan Valley last week, a game in which they won 14-10. But I also doubt Marshall has faced a Spread team with the talent and weapons the likes of Three Rivers. I'm going to guess that Three Rivers run Defense is better than Marshall's Pass Defense. We'll see….

Jackson Lumen Christi vs. Clare
Gotta love two smart, fundamentally sound, Football teams going at it, and that's what I think we have here. Both teams play solid Defense and have Diverse, balanced Offenses. The Pioneers did a good job of shutting down Millington's running game, and JLC did a nice job defending the pass against Muskegon Heights. It think the Titans have a bit more big game experience, and have played tougher competition to get to this point and that will pay off for them here.

Montague vs. Monroe St. Mary CC
Montague has been playing spread teams all throughout the playoff's. Now in the Finals they get to take on a MSMCC squad that lives and dies by the running game and barely throws the ball. MSMCC is small and fast and this will be a whole different challenge for the Wildcats. I think Montague's familiarity with the Wing-T will be able to shut down the Falcon run game, and Montague having and outstanding Kicker/punter in Matt Deyoung, will eliminate the Falcon's big play threat on Special Teams.

Hudson vs. Traverse City St. Francis
Hudson has done very well this year. They have played a tough schedule and come out of it with an undefeated record. One of Hudson's strength's is Run Defense. That Run D will certainly be tested in the Finals. Hudson has some good sized kids, and might be able to match up with TCSF for a quarter or a half, but I don't think Hudson has the Depth to hang with SF for an entire game. Hudson needs to play their game, Keep mistakes to a minimum, and not let this one get away from them. If they do that… they should be able to keep it close.

Crystal Falls Forest Park vs. Beal City
Josh Siler vs. Kegan Rojas. Neither team has given up many points in the playoff's (Beal 21 CFFP 30). But Beal City's Defense holding Muskegon Catholic's Offense to 7 points impressed me. Flip side is Beal only scoring 14 on a young MCC Defense which is odd. Ultimately, I think Beal City has a more capable Quarterback in Jared Thiesen, and his ability to run and throw will be the difference in this game.
