I wish that I could respond in a positive way, but quite frankly I can't. Athletes from out of state (besides our own athletes cheating) came here (well documented so look it up yourself since I'm not going to provide a link to the story) to cheat on the ACT (or perhaps it was the SAT) so why should this be a surprise? Nothing surprises me anymore as far as the NCAA goes. Florida State is still at yet complaining over vacating some W's for Bobby (whiners since Bobby picked up a vacated or forfeited W among his totals). Based on what I read about Florida State's athlete's academic problems, then the football players (and other athletes) shouldn't have been allowed in school. Finally, Tennessee has drug and gun problems in the news today again. All of this in the name of win today at all costs no matter what even if the universities lower academic standards for athletes. It is time to put the STUDENT part before the ATHLETE part of the equation once again. The NCAA is afraid to put a name school on probation even if a school commits all sorts of violations.

For Boeing747. I wouldn't want to quote your link either as it says last day for seniors was June 3rd but mandatory attendance after that. So if attendance was mandatory, June 3rd wasn't the seniors last day either technically.

Although I don't go to Debbie's blog regularly, I have found her being listed as a source around 2 - 4 times per year on other political websites or blogs that I go to. In those articles or blogs, I have never found anything that she wrote to be untrue - just like in this case. Both the Freep and News changed urls so that is why an article through a google search doesn't show up on the prom being cancelled. If my memory is right, both newspapers did articles at the time that the prom was cancelled. However, I did find another link that did say that the prom was indeed cancelled during the time period covered. So please provide a link or something that Debbie wrote that was wrong before calling her a nutjob. Did TNTDyno catch the Edsel Ford hoodies that made national news the other day?

Basically if TNTDyno wants to call Debbie a nutjob, then there are all sorts of nutjobs in the Annointed One's administration including Janet N. who said that the system worked on Christmas Day. Look at the Annointed One's Presidential Press Secretary - probably the biggest nut job that I've ever seen on TV on a daily basis. Just take a look at the TSA nominee who will have access to private info. Well when he was a FBI agent (or in some such gov't capacity), he checked out on someone on a personal basis on two occasions and lied about doing it to the Congressional committee in charge of his nomination. So he shouldn't get the TSA job.

To answer pavlov's question though, there has been in state players that have cheated on those tests as well as other state players coming here since they found out that cheating was going on here big time (there is a place near the LA area that is famous for this also). So it sounds plausible to me that the story is accurate.
