Would like to see OLSM and BBR added, and am curious where they will play all of these games, particularly the Steubenville game.

Hope they get Steubenville as a home game this time.

I guess that I should go over some other playoff teams for week 1 as well since John has updated Inkster. It's doubtful that Steubenville is a home game or will be played in Michigan since they like to have at least 7 or 8 home games out of their 10 games.

The other decent game to announce is Goodrich vs. Richmond on the website. Detroit Cass Tech is playing Pi Hi in another playoff team vs. playoff team, but won't be good enough to make my prediction list.

It appears that Inkster solved whatever problems that they had with their football field as 3 of those games are at home. As I suspected the Steubenville Ohio game is on the road:

Here is my tentative first week prediction list so far. Only MOV didn't make the playoffs. John's website confirmed that Clarkston is playing Rochester Adams. Muskegon vs. Macomb Dakota is the only confirmed game that is right on the home and away being right besides the Inkster game.

MHSAA Football Stats

I formed that portion of my list as afterthought. Probably didn't put them on the list since they haven't won many playoff games plus comes from a relatively weak conference. Based on my prediction list they would have to play at least a team that won a playoff game to make my prediction list for week one in order to have more playoff games as a whole.

Plus I will have to confirm what the SEN is during the summer. Another thing is to determine how many teams is in each class as well since I prorated the number of predictions based on that statistic as well. That is why I called it my tentative list. I can envision a couple of the TBD teams making my official week 1 prediction list if they play good out of state opponents.

I would assume that they want to grow as a team, and with them losing a lot of talent this year, all it will do is get them ready for the future.

BBR probably pitted one school against anther school as far as renting the field goes. So the Warriors could have received the best offer from Seaholm.

Toledo St. John's didn't qualify for their playofss. Detroit King and Highland Park made the playoffs, but lost in round one. So that BBR non conference schedule isn't as rough as it seems. Only Indianapolis Cathedral made a real playoff run.

There was always something going wrong at Lathrup. One game, the scoreboard didn't work. A bank of lights was out another time. They would send up random people to operate the scoreboard who didn't know anything about football rules. Part of the bleachers collapsed at one game. An inspection showed they were rusting. The P.A. system was out for one game. The place was a disaster. I'm glad Rice is moving back to Seaholm. One benefit is a new turf field. Overall, it's a better setting for games.

Interesting tid bit for those that might be interested. Carter was one of 7 candidates to interview for the Muskegon opening. However he did not get the job as they went with already on staff Shane Fairfield.

Very interesting. Does Inkster know? Don't see how they couldn't.

He has never struck me as a "grass is always greener" kind of guy. You know, an opportunistic type. I wonder what's going on at Inkster to make him pursue a move.
