Here's how far off I was in each division last year:
D1 = +2
D2 = +6
D3 = -10
D4 = -1
D5 = +8
D6 = +11
D7 = +1
D8 = +1
TOTAL = 40

Technically speaking the D8 beginning number for this year should be 547. However, the ending number for D7 is 544. So that means that there are a couple of teams in between the divisions that don't make the playoffs. This is to be expected since close to 40% of the teams make the playoffs under the current system.

Here is the AP and Mick McCabe's division breakdown numbers for this fall:
Division 1 = 77 = +15 compared to me
Division 2 = 154 = - 2 compared to me
Division 3 = 231 = +1 compared to me
Division 4 = 308 = +8 compared to me
Division 5 = 385 = +6 or +7 depending on which way you want to round my number
Division 6 = 462 = +6 compared to me
Division 7 = 539 = -5 compared to me
Division 8 begins = 540 = -7 compared to me

Searn, can't you email yuku to make it so that there is no space in between our lines? On this post even if I tried to line it up with no space, it didn't want to work. Lower half finally worked since I edited the post.
