Junior Posts: 169 09/17/07 9:11 AM Michigan Metro	Tags : None Current Metro Conference Standings Lutheran North 3-0 Harper Woods 3-0 Cranbrook 2-1 Lutheran Northwest 2-2 Clawson 1-1 Lutheran Westland 1-1 Hamtramck 0-3 Clarenceville 0-4 The Conference title looks like it will come down to the North-Harper Woods game in Week 8. Clawson has an outside chance to snag a piece of the title with a win over Harper Woods in Week 7 and a Pioneer win against the Mustangs. Both North and Harper Woods look like playoff locks. Clawson needs to run the table, including the Harper Woods game. I don't see anyone else in the conference making it. Conference teams are 2-6 outside the conference, with wins over Riverview Richard and Detroit Urban Lutheran. Harper Woods looks to be for real, and is my surprise team of the conference on the upside. I expected them to be good, but not 86-6 over Westland and Clarenceville. Clarenceville is somewhat a victim of their rich history in the conferenceand the curse of high expectations; I expected more of them than they've shown, and likely more than I had any right to expect. The game of the week this week is Northwest - Clawson.

Sophomore Posts: 36 09/18/07 11:45 AM	That Clawson/Harper game will be quite interesting. Other than that, Clawson should roll past Northwest, Westland, Hamtown, and Clarenceville. That 2pt Conversion attempt at the end of the North game looks pretty costly for them right now. 35-9

Sophomore Posts: 24 09/19/07 10:17 AM	This week should be an interesting one in the Metro. Here are my predictions: 1. Lutheran North 44 Clarenceville 8- North runs wild in this one. Gainer gets a score somewhere in there. 2. Harper Woods 48 Conner Creek 0- Harper continues there beatdown tour of terrible teams 3. Ferndale 42 Cranbrook 30- Cranbrook can score with Ferndale but probably can't stop them. 4. Lutheran Westland 36 Hamtramck 0- Westland's score could be a little more but 36 seems to be the stopping point most teams choose vs. Ham-town this year. 5. Clawson vs. Northwest- This will be a good game. Both teams will be fighting for their playoff lives.Clawson has lost several close games. The question is, is it due to superior competition or are they just not capable of closing out close games? I think its the second one. Northwest has lost two in a row and seems to have trouble against teams that like to spread it out. Have they learned their lesson after two straight weeks? I think so. Plus it seems like they may have finally found some offense last week. Couple all that with me being a self-admitted homer. Northwest 26 Clawson 21

Junior Posts: 74 09/19/07 10:41 AM Junior Varsity	Lutheran North vs. Clarenceville - North will win this game. Lutheran North 35 - Clarenceville 6 Harper Woods vs. Conner Creek. I don't know anything about Conner Creek other than that they're 1-3. Harper Woods 48 - Conner Creek 0 Ferndale vs. Cranbrook. I agree with CentralsFinest. Cranbrook's D isn't good enough to beat Ferndale. Ferndale 28 - Cranbrook 21 Lutheran Westland vs. Hamtramck. It's Lutheran Westland's homecoming. They better win. Lutheran Westland 34 - Hamtramck 0 Clawson vs. Lutheran Northwest. I don't see this being much of a contest. Clawson destroyed Cranbrook 47-0 in week 1. Lutheran Northwest just lost to Cranbrook. To say that they are going to beat them doesn't make much sense to me. I don't think Lutheran Northwest has learned their lesson about the spread yet, so I see this as being a big time blow out. Clawson 35 - Lutheran Northwest 6.

The only thing I disagree with is the whole logic of they beat them and they lost to them so they should get blown out by them. Every team has its own dynamic and matches up differently. That said, I think it will come down to if NW has learned their lesson on the spread yet. If they have, my pick will be right. If not, then you will be dead on (though I do think NW will put up some points in this game regardless).

Lutheran North beat Clawson by ONE point. That makes them pretty even teams, yes? Northwest was destroyed by North. Cranbrook was destroyed by Clawson. So to say that Lutheran Northwest can beat Clawson is crazy. I'm sorry. It is. Lutheran Northwest has only beat Hamtramck and Clarenceville. Two teams who run up the gut and who haven't won a game all year. They lost to two teams who run the spread offense. I would like to think they've learned their lesson, but I don't think they have. Freshmen Unranked Walkon Posts: 1 09/19/07 7:11 PM	Lutheran North vs Clarenceville - 36-0 lutheran north will win easily Harper woods vs conner creek - 35-0 harper will just continue to blow out teams Ferndale vs cranbrook - 28-14 i think it will be an alright game but ferndale will win it Lutheran westland vs hamtramck - 32-0 westland will scroe 32 (at least) it just depends on when they choose to stop. Clawson vs lutheran northwest - 42-6 northwest has only beat hamtramck and clarenceville who are both 0-4 and then got blown out by north and got beat by cranbrook who was blown out by clawson.

Harper Woods 42 Conner Creek 0- Harper Woods breezes by another mediocre team Ferndale 31 Cranbrook 20- Cranbrook had a big win last week, but they'll come up short here Lutheran Westland 38 Hamtramck 12- Another hamtramck blowout. But i think they'll reach double digits with Westland going to their small bench. Clawson 44 Lutheran Northwest 12- Due to the lack of other good conference games, this is probably the "best". Northwest hasn't looked very impressive, especially when it comes to holding onto the ball. Clawson needs wins real bad and it starts here 35-9
