Saw a question about whether Holland West Ottawa or Grand Haven could get in as a 5-4 team. Right now WO is sitting 2nd among the 4-3 teams, GH is 10th.

West Ottawa should have a good chance as a 5-4, Grand Haven really needs to be 6-3 to get in.

Since they both play the same opponents in the last two weeks they are unlikely to change their standing.

Northville is sitting number 29 on a list of 33 teams, Franklin is 8th, Grand Blanc is 20th, W. Bloomfield 23rd. Realistically those teams need to win six to get in.

I have Ike in at Div I- first on list of POP ave, then West Ottawa. Milford I have as Division II.

Last week top three categories (6-0,5-1,4-2) added up to 255. Made it easy.

This week we had only 47 stay unbeaten.

Thirteen teams dropped a game and joined the second tier at (6-1). Sixty-seven 5-1 teams won, 18 dropped a rung to (5-2).

Last week tier three consisted of 110 at (4-2). Only 59 climbed to (5-2).

All 110 tier three were 'automatics'. So we see our numbers at this point has everyone accounted for, but now 65 more teams got their fourth win and now our fourth tier picks which last week was one has grown to 50 (just about equal to the teams in tier three that lost) and the mad scramble is on.

At week 6 it makes sense (statistically) that a (4-2) will be (2-1) in its last 3 games. A team that has won 2/3 games will likely win 2 out of three.

At week 7 (4-3) is harder to figure. They win 57% of their games, they have two left so…

My week to week 'adding' has little to do with the final number of (5-4) teams, only the method is the same. I still expect a low amount in week 9 again this year. Probably not as low as last year as we are 27 teams behind last year's pace. (We had 231 teams with five or more wins in wk7 2007. This year 204.)
