Ok, after looking at the results, I have 23 teams in D1 (atuomatic qualifiers, who cant move to D2). Then I have 9 teams who have 5 wins. Of those 9 teams, I
believe 5 are going to win their respective games. These teams include (Troy, Saline, Grand Blanc, West Bloomfield, and Chip Valley). If those 5 teams win we
are up to 28 D1 teams.
Now the next four 5 win teams are facing tougher competition they inlcude:
Holt vs. Davison (5-3)
Livonia Franklin vs. Hartland (6-2)
Temp Bedford vs. Chelsea (6-2)
Milford vs. White lake Lakeland (6-2)
Of these four games, I think Holt and Milford have the best chance to win. If we assume they win, that will give us 30 D1 teams.
My main question is how many 4 loss D1 teams will make it? I see Eisenhower being able to make it and possibly Holland West Ottawa if they beat Hudsonville. Grand Haven, Jackson and some others are sitting on the bubble.
Does anyone have any idea what the average POP is for a 5-4 team over the years?
