PSL-Catholic matchups rekindled
It will not be the reincarnation of the Goodfellow Game, but look for the Detroit Public School League and the Catholic League to hook up for at least a couple of games during the ninth week of the football season.

The Goodfellow Game, which was played at Tiger Stadium, pitted the PSL champ against the Catholic League champ for 30 years before ending in 1967.
Since the PSL and Catholic League both play championship games on the ninth week, the PSL-Catholic matchups will feature semifinal losers from the PSL, provided they already have won six games, and non-Prep Bowl qualifiers from the Catholic League. The games will be played Friday so they don't interfere with the league championship games.
