MCC has to make the playoff's in order to win it all. And THAT wont be easy. Probably do it with 5 wins though. They wont be the team they were last year,
but if they make the playoff's....other D8 teams will have their hands full.

Surprised to see you put 4 U.P. teams on that list.
But outside M.C.C., they all have as good a shot to take the title this year (except Cedarville) as any others in the State. 5 straight finals appearances has Forest Park on this list. But, the Trojans might not even make it out of the Districts this year. The most competitive District in all of Division 8 will be in the Western U.P. Forest Park and Lake Linden-Hubbell played 2 tough as nails games against each other last year. But Baraga is just as good as both of them this year. Baraga led F.P. late into the 4th quarter last year in week 7 at F.P. (where almost no one beats F.P.) before the Trojans pulled out a 30-22 game. Throw in North Dickinson, and it will be anyone's district. (that is if N.D. is put in that district). Looks like Forest Park's stranglehold on the Great Western Conference (7 straight titles) might be in jeopardy too this year. LL-H, Baraga, and Hurley (WI) all have as good a shot as F.P. to win the GWC this year. Who ever wins the District will definately be battle tested to take on St. Ignace in the Regional Final, then probably either Beal City or Frankfort in the Semi-Final. |

If you have voted from Climax-Scotts, you are insane (early disclaimer)...They're down to one Langs, and their schedule is a cake walk, except for the
roadie at Pittsford in Week 6. Playoffs - yes; state title - no way....
Bring back my show, "The Arena", to Battle Creek, please!!! Call my boss! |

How can you exclude Cedarville? Have you seen the team play? How about the JV team from the past two years? You really have to do some research before you
exclude a team that obviously you have never watched play. The junior class has lost a total of 5 games since 5th grade all of those games were to much bigger
schools (Sault, Rudyard etc) Only one of those palyers was on varsity last year because of the strength of the senior class. State Champs, not this year but as
you said, anyone has a chance and the INCLUDES Cedarville!

I think Mendon stays in D8--what does that do to your Poll if they drop from 7 to 8? Mendon would LOVE to get CS and MCC this year!

Loks like Mendon will get the chance - even though we keep getting ranked against TCSF and Ubly in the papers, I understand we'll be Div 8 for playoffs. Is
this correct?
Oh, and good luck Cedarville! |

I think it is still up in the air! I am hoping we stay in Div 8.

10 of the 11 teams listed in the poll actually made the D8 playoffs - only Bay City All Saints didn't get in. Go Aggies!

I hate to bet against MCC, but I like Lake Linden Hubbell over MCC in the state finals.
