And I'm going to be first to respond here and on "Hartland Live" I mean Mlive
I like it. Reading you guys throughout the season, I would have been able to compose a portion of that list myself, and I am nowhere near the fan/follower/prognosticator that most or your regulars are. Fun stuff. Go CC. Go D1 If that list holds close, whoever wins D1 this year will have earned it. |

D1 looks KILLER
BUT ... the results in the CHSL, OK and OAA could point things back in the direction of D2 if teams like Muskegon, Brother Rice, DeLaSalle, Rochester Adams, etc. take control in those leagues ... But going in it's looking like the East and D1 will have a big year. Vote for 2009 MHSAA Football Conference Winners New Conference Polls to be added throughout this summer. I'll check on the other teams, but the Maples are projected to be in the D3 playoffs as well based on Davison being placed in D2.
Midland should have been placed in D2 as well. Some of these teams are on the "bubble" so there might be some changes come playoff time.

Let me know on DavisionLOL!!!! It is way too early to project which division the Cardinals will wind up in since they are the second team in D2 right now according to my ADB list. |

Midland was another that was a bad mistake ...
I made a last second change and put Midland in that spot instead of someone else ... who happened to be D1 and I didn't edit it properly. My preseason tentative ratings has DCC ahead of Livonia Stevenson so I hope that they can meet up in the playoffs to decide who the better team is on the
field.

Good list. I just don't see Davison having a winning record with that schedule. The catholic league looks loaded. Can't believe CC is that high.

Davison has a tough road ahead ... but I can't do the rankings based on who I think will finish with strong records based on schedule.... I'm trying to
pick who the best 32 teams are in Michigan and going from that point.
Orchard Lake St. Mary is in the same boat .... it's going to be tough for them to make the playoffs but I'd be lying if I told myself I didn't think they were a Top 32 team in Michigan going in. CC should be a tough, experienced ... I've heard they return as many as 18-20 starters based on who started by the end of the season. Searn, do you know something about my Livonia Stevenson that I dont? I thought that they could crack the top 10, but to be #4 ahead of teams like CC, Muskegon,
Dakota, and Inkster. i would've never guessed it. I thought that SHS would be able to play with them, but i didn't really expect other people to view
it at the same level as I. I'm not complaining, and i think that for as early as it is, the whole list is pretty good even though i would've liked to
see a 4th KLAA team in there.

the thing I always like about your lists Searn is that they are "JUSTIFIABLE". I rarely see any evidence of one team bias or glaring omissions.
Debate will always exist but the thought and input in your Super 32 are always top notch. I'm surprised you didn't change the name of it this year to
the SCOOTWAG 32!...........just kidding. I'm such a can opener

No team from D4 and only one from D5. It seems in years past you included more teams from the middle Divisions? Is it the Super 32 teams from Divisons one
through three this year? Or will some smaller schools make the list as the season goes on?

Good list Searn, as usual. Lots of teams common to my list. I think we're both solid on number one. I had Rockford at #3 before I talked to a national
writer who had a long conversation with the Rockford coach. As a result, I moved them down a bit. I was going to wait until after the 4 Way Scrimmage so I
could get a look at Inkster before ranking them, but I decided to go with what I know now. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if Inkster didn't
scrimmage that well. I doubt Inkster will finish anywhere near where I have them (#2) with their schedule, but I feel they deserve the pre-season ranking.
I just published my pre-season top 25 at www.prepseer.com a few minutes ago. |
